CHAPTER 32
“FANCY STRADDLING THE VFR tonight? I’m all for it instead of going out with pervy Pete” Lyn plonked a bunch of grapes down by Jamie’s side on the hospital bed.
“Er.... don’t think I’ll be straddling anything for a while, but thanks for the grapes.” Jamie smiled weakly, “I can’t eat anything yet. I’m still throwing up after the anaesthetic.”
“You’ll be fine. I’ve just popped in to make sure you’re back with us.”
“Yeah, give me a few days and I’ll be raring to go.”
“When are you coming home?”
“In a couple of days I think. Just got to make sure everything’s working ok.”
“Is it?”
“Don’t know yet. I haven’t long woken up.”
“I’ll come in tomorrow and let you know how it went with pervy Pete.”
