CHAPTER 15 “I WAS HOPING you’d stop by this morning. Maureen in the tea shop next door is looking for somebody to make sandwiches and salads for the rest of the season. Her girl’s gone off with a surfer from Darlington.” “Thanks, Sue.” Lyn handed over some coins for her usual banana and bottle of water. “I’ll go in and see her.” The summer sun beat down, and the seagulls weaved convoluted whirls over her head as Lyn sat contentedly on the sea wall, watching the waves and eating her fruit.
