Behind Her Silence

Chapter Eleven

I woke up feeling unwell, my temperature was high and from my symptoms I was down with a flu. I immediately called my secretary to tell her about my absence and the reason why, I laid back down for a while then went to shower, eat and take some medications.

I went back to bed and noticed I had a few messages, some were work related, one was from Eddy and another was not a saved contract. I immediately guessed it was from Jason, I responded to the text and he was online. We exchanged pleasantries and he didn't seem busy because he replied immediately I sent a text.

" Are you at work?" He asked acting so caring, " No I'm not, I woke up not feeling too well so I am at home" He instantly became worried and sent lots of text saying sorry and asking if I have taken any medicine. I replied back telling him I did but I wanted to nap for a while and he gladly said okay and told me to not stress myself.

I woke up feeling much better and I decided to eat and watch some movies, It was already late in the evening before I realised how much time has passed. I started working on my laptop and reviewing anything necessary, I also gave my feedback to Doctor James regarding his proposal.

I worked till 12 am, then I decided to sleep. When I woke up in the morning, I was glad I was feeling much more better, I called my secretary to inform her I would resume work on Wednesday.

I took my bath, ate and checked my phone for any messages. " Good morning, how are you feeling now?, He had already sent a message. " Good morning, much better. Thank you," Jason was really too caring that I felt I had to be up on my guard.

He suggested taking me out since I feel much better but I am not one to go out all the time, I told him probably in the evening but he shouldn't get his hopes up.

"Not that I am starting to like him but I need to move around so as to get better soon" I said to myself while nodding as if I was explaining my intentions to myself. My sense of denial was something to laugh about.
