Chapter Twelve

After two months of going out on dates with Jason, things were starting to seem beautiful again. I was scared obviously but I didn't tell him, we weren't exactly close to me yet. Still, time will tell.

Someone I knew for years dumped me like a rag, what makes me think I need Jason to know me for years before he can understand me.

I was at my office at work preparing to leave and go to Jason's company, technically Jason is a very influential person.

I got to his company for the first time and had to call him before meeting up with the secretary at the entrance but he didn't pick up so I decided to just go to the secretary.

"Good afternoon, I am here to see Mr Jason" I had to be formal because we are just friends and this is his company, "Good morning, do you have an appointment with him? I knew she was going to ask that but I wasn't sure Jason made an appointment with me like I suggested.

" Sorry, I am not so sure about that but you can check. My name is Jane" She looked at me in a very weird way as if she was annoyed by me. " Sorry, your name isn't listed here" I can't let you go further into the building". I sighed and tried calling him again but he still didn't pick up, I waited for almost twenty minutes before I received his call.

" Sorry dear, I was in a meeting. Are you here already? He said worriedly " Yes I've been here for a while, the secretary won't let me in" I said out of tiredness. He immediately got upset and told me to wait, I guess he called the secretary because she came to me and said I could go in.

I reached his office where another secretary was at the front of, I was so tired I sat down at a bench which was really long and faced a larger room. It looked like a conference room, He came out of it with a few other men and women dressed corporate.

I wonder what was happening because he seemed to be yelling at the others, the distance was too much I could barely understand anything.

I wondered if he is actually a strict business man but sweet to me, then I denied that and thought maybe he's usually sweet to women he likes.
