For the first time in a while, I woke up happy. It was a beautiful day to be happy and I was, my reason for being happy was only because I had nothing bothering me and I felt so light. The plans I made for today were still going to be held, and aside from that I had nothing else to do. It was my off day in case anyone was wondering why I am not at work on a Friday.
I intended to visit the club, especially the bowling centre. It's an area filled with couples most times and I tend to get stares from being by myself yet looking so happy.
I stayed in bed for a while and watched a movie or two, that I didn't realise time had passed so fast. I was about getting up from the bed to bath and do the necessary things before I leave, when I received a call from an unknown number. I usually get calls from random people and spam callers due to my popularity so I immediately declined the call.
" Sigh, I hope it's not someone who needs my help. Yet I can't risk what happened the last time to repeat itself". The last time I took the call of an unknown number, whoever was on the other line made threats against my life and all I've worked for. It was so serious to the extent that the person attacked me on my way to the hospital one day.
It was known to my workers at the hospital that I own a hospital in another country but I am here on some business proposal.
I shook my head to forget that incident and not let it ruin my mood, I bathed and got dressed then went to make a sandwich. By the time I was done with all I wanted to do, It was 7:30 pm. I got into my car and drove to the club to have some fun.
I would have been glad if Eddy was still around so he could tag along but he left earlier this morning for something urgent.
I pouted my lips at the thought of people staring at me again, then I remembered a comment a stranger made one day. " She's so beautiful, why is she always here by herself". I laughed that day not at the statement of him wondering why I was here by myself but at him calling me beautiful.
I got to the club and went straight to the bowling center, It wasn't as crowded with couples as it usually is. I noticed a figure that seemed familiar but I wasn't ready to play detective so I proceeded to sit at the bar and ordered an Apple juice.
The bar man and I were acquainted so we started chatting and talking about our professional lives and the stress it comes with, we were so focused on our discussion that most people would think we were a couple.
I was about getting up from my stool when I immediately bumped into a guy who was also approaching the bar, he was obviously taller than me because my head hit his chest. We were so close, It would seem as if we were a couple hugging each other.
