Chapter Fourteen

I was already getting worried because he hasn't answered yet, so I sat him down and asked again. " Eddy what happened, please tell me". I asked so worriedly he had to answer," We broke up, she wasn't faithful... She..." I shut him up with a hug so he wouldn't think about it much.

Eddy didn't plan on dating anyone but I forced him because we were getting old, yet I was also suspicious of Prisca. For some reason I blame myself, I took him upstairs and made him bathe then lay in bed.

I went downstairs to make his favourite food, he ate then slept. I looked at him and saw a bit of myself when I was broken, I made sure I would stay with him just like he did for me.

By the time he woke up, I already made breakfast for him because well Eddy loves food. He woke up and stared at me like a baby, he looked so cute. I smiled and said go brush your teeth then come eat, he immediately jumped up to go do that because he scented the aroma of the food and I am sure he became more hungry.

I stayed in bed with him and we spent the day watching movies, he became less sad and I was pleased. Then I smiled at his inquisitive nature and also at the fact that I can be off work whenever I want unless there's an emergency.

When it was almost evening, we both became hungry so I suggested we cook together.

We made jollof rice and fried some chicken wings, It was fun. We laughed, joked and spent even more time cooking than we should have.

I was so tired to even eat but Eddy immediately dished his food and started eating, I laughed instantly. He made me happy without much effort, " Let's go out tomorrow after work, you'll go with me to work and then from there we will go out".

He looked at me with his mouth full and then tried speaking after swallowing" Why should I go with you to work? I will be fine, where should we go to?".

He started with his questions. " You're going with me, I know you're fine. We will go anywhere". I smiled and waited for his response which I already knew.

" Fine, I will go with you" He smiled back.
