Ace She was laughing. With him. With the f*****g Devon Sinclair. The sound hit my ears like a slap, sharp and unrelenting. I stood in the shadows just beyond the stone path, watching her as she threw her head back, cheeks flushed with warmth and ease. Ease she never had around me. Smile she had never flashed at me.
