Ace The chains weren’t silver. That would’ve been too merciful. Silver burned. Silver blistered. Silver made things clean and simple. This? This was darker. It felt like some cursed copper laced with wolfsbane. It felt cold like betrayal, heavy like grief. Every time I breathed, it burned and melted into my skin.
