Ruger turned the TV on and they watched in silence while the newscaster gave them what details they had.
“Espinoza, commonly known as Spino, was being held on arson charges when he some how managed to escape from the Pima County Detention Center. We’re being told that his absence was noticed around lunchtime. Espinoza is still at large. We’ll bring you details as they become available.” They switched to another reporter for a different story and Ruger muted the TV.
They sat in silence for a few tense minutes before Ruger couldn’t take the looks that were sweeping across the room any more.
“Babe, why did you want to know if they’d seen Spino before coming over here?”
