"Winter appears to fall upon us quicker than we thought it would." Zeus spoke up. His eyes fixed on his younger brother.
For the first time in a long while, he saw Mint's eyes brighten, he smiled.
Zeus failed to smile back, but it pleased him to see his brother happy. A lot has happened since they last spoke alone. Alec's confession and banishment, their mother's confession and banishment and his volunteer program.
Between all these, the brothers had no time to speak to each other. Words had to be said, they had just lost a brother and their mother.
Each needed the other more than pride and male ego allowed them to admit.
So, when Zeus found his younger brother on a bench in the palace garden, and alone, Zeus knew he got an opportunity he could not pass up on.
