After the call with Alpha Zyk, I drove straight to our realm’s hospital headquarters. Parking at the back of the main entrance, I walked all the way to meet Zyk where he directed me to meet him. When we finally met, he didn’t even wait for us to exchange pleasantries properly before leading the way into the stairway.
Whatever he was going to show my must be really serious, because, why did we have to use the stairs when there hundreds of elevators in the hospital? I had worked here since my internship and residency days, and asides from it being the largest hospital in the realm, it was where most cases from other realms were referred to when a patient’s ailment was beyond their capability.
