Chapter 4

There is this single absolute rule in Northern Institute of Magic, it is during lunch breaks, no one is allowed to stay inside the classrooms. Students are allowed to go to everywhere they want except inside the classrooms.

Now that Cali is already standing at the front of Row 1 that Brayan said, there are really new books including biographies of some unknown people. There are so many books in the shelf but the unique one caught his attention. It's cover is red and seems like it is as hard as a steel. It's only thin but when he picked it, it's almost as heavy as an encyclopedia. This made him wonder what kind of book is this.

The cover is so plain, plain color of red.

He even knocked the cover to see of it is made of wood or just a thick paper.

"Hey, what's this book? Why is it so heavy?" He showed the book he is holding to Brayan who is busy looking at the computer.

"Oh! That... I don't know. It was just someone placed it there and said that the book itself is made of some high level magic item. Maybe ranging from epic to legendary level. That's what they said."

"They? You don't know?" Cali asked again out of curiosity.

"Yeah, I don't really know why do they need to use such a magic item to just make a book when they can just use a normal paper." When Brayan said this, Cali became more interested in the book.

No one is inside the second floor of the library except for the two of them and the silence is just making Cali more relaxed. He chose the tablw at the back near the window and sat there. At first, he is just staring at the book thinking what is written inside.

'Don't get my hopes up. Maybe they're just exaggerating on making a book with high level magic items.'

'Hmm... let's see what's inside.'

He opened the book and the very first page of it, there is only one word written. DEMIURGE, that was written in the book and based on the smell, it is a very old book but it's like newly made.

I wrote this book for the future generations, to give knowledge about the world and everything here. I do not want the humans to become ignorant about their own world.

Everything that's written here is what most people don't know, maybe you don't also know. If you ever read it, don't even think that it is just a work of someone's wild imagination because it is the truth. Ignorance will just lead you all to your own demise. For your own sake... Please read this.

My name is Garith, I'm an elf. But I'm not just an elf, I am the very first Elven King.

I'm sure you already know the name Demiurge, he is my friend. Maybe you think of him as a God, but he is not.

It is given that he is powerful but he is only like that, he is not a God. He is only a supreme being, a race far greater than us. All of you knows that he is a God but I repeat, he is not.

There are humans, elves, and even fairies but there are beings living in secrecy or being kept in secret that they exist. They are the dark entities that nobody knows, they are also powerful beings nearing the level of supreme beings. There are a total of millions of supreme beings but the numbers of dark entities are ten times greater than them but what made the supreme beings more powerful despite their lesser number is because of Demiurge, Dyol Noh, and Yaldabaoth. These three are the most powerful supreme beings in Adartse, a different realm where supreme beings live.

But they say great power comes with great responsibility. The supreme beings are tasked to keep the dark entities in check and prevent other races to start wars against each others but there is already a conflict between the dark entities and supreme beings on which side will get the Tree of Life, but because the supreme beings already have their hands on it, the conflict was gone... as of now.

The tree of life makes the supreme beings immortal but the downside of it is they will still die if someone or something killed them. They will age but not die, they can just be killed. You can kill a supreme being but it is easier said than done because they are more powerful than us, a mere being like you or like me will have it hard to kill even the weakest supreme being.

Demiurge doesn't want to hide their existence and also the dark entities' existence to humans. And this decision of him made Dyol Noh and Yaldabaoth his enemies but this is not just the reason. Demiurge only told this to me and no one even from the supreme beings know the other reason why he suddenly became enemies with the two.

"They want my power and my weapon..." That is what he said. The two feels like they are above everything, they do not want lowly beings like us to see or even know their names.

Demiurge's weapon is something that can absorb the power of someone and transfer it to him, it can also surely kill a living being no matter what or who he is. His massive power is the key to control this world.

Demiurge already has a chance to rule over this world but he refused to do it that's why Yaldabaoth and Dyol Noh will take it as an opportunity. However, it will be impossible for them to get Demiurge's weapon and his power because they will just dig their own graves.

Who knows what Yaldabaoth and Dyol Noh are planning? But where is Demiurge now? I don't also know the answers.

What I'm certain is that something bad happened to him, and it is all connected to those two. If you ever find someone who knows the truth behind the m******e 300 years ago, they will be a great help to you to know the people whom you cannot trust.

Although they're staying hidden, their influence to humans are already growing, they know that humans are easy to manipulate because of their ignorance about everything.

The m******e 300 years ago is said to be done by my friend but he was just blamed for a sin he did not commit. This will prove his innocence.

After reading the page 4 of the book, the fast beating of his heart is slowly going back to normal. Cali did not know why, he doesn't even know who the hell is this Demiurge that this book mentioned so many times. But there is only one thing that he knows, the m******e. It was said that someone annihilated thousands of humans, elves, and fairies combined. They said it was someone who has an inhuman strength, a monster, and a very evil creature but after reading the book, he doesn't know what he will believe.

If the book is right, then it was Demiurge who was being blamed for the m******e and is innocent but if the story that he was told before is the truth, then Demiurge really is a devil who slaughtered thousands.

"Brayan... Who's this Demiurge?" Asked by Cali, he really is sure that it is his first time hearing this name but seems like familiar.

"What kind of question is that?" Brayan has an indescribable expression while looking at Cali. The atmosphere became suddenly quiet because Cali doesn't know why his question is answered by a question.

"Dude, seriously? It's a question that needs an answer."

"The hell, Cali! I did not know that you're such an ignorant uninformed human. Demiurge, our God. The one that people are praising! Come on... Are you joking or what?"

By the mentioned of God, there is again a question that Cali asked.

"Is he really a God?"

"Yes, he is. There are so many books there about him. And in case you do not know what a God means, let me tell-"

"Stop, I know. I just don't know this Demiurge." Brayan just shook his head when Cali said this, he is smiling like he met someone crazy.

Now that Cali confirmed it, this book really is stating the facts. It mentioned in the book that human thinks of Demiurge as a God but he is not really. He cannot believe that his mother did not even tell something about this Demiurge when he was a kid, he never heard of it until now.

'Whether everything in this book is true or not, nothing will lose if I will read and believe it. Afterall, I don't really know that there is a God that exist and is not even a God. Well it said that Demiurge is not a God.' He said in his mind and continued staring at the book without reading it.

This world is full of magic, nothing is impossible except for someone who can live without oxygen. He had seen many people using magic in televisions but not witnessed in person. Everyone can become a magic caster or a warrior but most just chose to live a happy and safe life, and there are few who took the path of an adventurer and cultivating to become stronger.

There are those talented enough cultivators or adventurers who reached the VII class and also those who are so gifted that are able to reach IX class.

Those who are VIII or even IX class adventurers are very rare. Some of them are working at large companies and powerful families and are paid high of amounts.

Cali remembered that there was this time that Cali have come face to face with a VII class adventurer when a big snake with a size of a buss suddenly appeared in their school gymnasium. Everyone was evacuated but he was left in the place and watch that VII class adventurer fighting the giant snake. It was transported there with a space magic for sure because there is no way it will just suddenly appear inside the gymn.

Due to the adventurer being angry, he cannot control his aura and is already scattered in the area. Cali felt it too, the feeling of the very heavy atmosphere and the sudden change of temperature. He can feel his strength being drained just because of the aura of the adventurer.

He is just a VII class adventurer and yet he has this terrifying aura, how much more for those stronger than him? The adventurer did not let out his aura to show how strong he is but rather to scare the giant snake and flee from the place to avoid any damage.

Cali knows that if the adventurer will kill the snake, the gymnasium will just be destroyed and many will get hurt so once the snake realized that this man is stronger, he destroyed the wall of the gymnasium and used it as a way out, this was the perfect opportunity for the adventurer to go after it.

It was a not an ordinary snake afterall, it possesses a magical power and its scales are shining like a mirror and by the looks of it, ordinary weapons and attacks will not even leave a scratch to it.

'He was really a hero that time. It really looks cool that people praise and thank you if you're the hero of the day. I wonder if I will be like that but I still did not awaken. I'm still an ordinary human. If ever I'm awakened, I'll do everything to become a high ranking adventurer, I'll be an X class adventurer.'

Saying this to himself reminds him about the promise he made to his mother.
