Ava was preparing breakfast when she heard a knock on the door. She walks in immediately and opens the door. She saw the good-looking man standing in front of her and became confused.
"How did you know where I live?" she asked, searching around the area for any hidden camera.
"I must admit, it was quite difficult. But not that difficult for me," he joked.
Ava didn't find this funny as she didn't even know him.
"If you must know. I didn't steal anything from you. I dropped the money and the dress with the receptionist. Or didn't she give it back?" Ava said, defending herself without an argument.
Alan laughs hard.
Ava stares at him in confusion. She didn't remember dropping her address for anyone.
"Please what do you want?" she asked.
"At least you should invite me in," Alan joked.
Ava makes way for Alan and he walks in and sits on the couch.
Ava stands in front of him, her hands on her waist as she waits for his explanation.
Alan shifted uncomfortably at her gaze. It was as if her eyes were piercing deep into his soul.
"I am here to give you an offer," he began
Ava's brain immediately piqued interest. She slowly sat on the chair. Suspicion crept into her mind.
"What is that?" she asked
"Well, it's something that is going to give you a lot of money," he began.
"I'm not into p**********n," she argues.
Alan laughs. "It's not that,"
."Then what is it?" he asked.
"Well, I don't know if you'd like this, but my master has requested you come live in the mansion with him," he began
Ava's ears perked at the mention of a mansion. She didn't know people could own mansions.
"Why? Is he that lonely?" she asks, confusion written on her face.
Alan chuckled. "No. It's far from that. Well, just live with him, and become his concubine, you'll be paid 1 million per month,"
Ava stood up in defense. "That's the closest thing to p**********n,"
Alan smiled. "No dear. It's not that,"
"Then what is it?" she asked.
Alan cleared his throat. "Knowing my master, he doesn't stay at home. He barely comes back home. And when he does, he doesn't stay up for two days. And those days he stays at home, he uses it to do some paperwork," Alan explained.
Ava nods her head, thinking of the possibilities. "So it means I might not get touched for some time or at all. But I'll still get paid?" she asked.
"Yeah. Exactly. Knowing my master, he wouldn't want to have anything to do with you as he had already been intimate with you. He doesn't do it twice with one woman," Alan explains.
Ava was relieved to hear that but at the same time angry. Was she that ugly that he wouldn't want to do it twice with her? Well, as long as this man says his master does that, she would give it a try. Maybe after two months, she would run away.
"But are you sure your master doesn't touch a woman twice?" she asked again, just for clarity.
"Yes. I am positive," Alan said. "Although I still don't understand why he would want to keep you in the house. But it's alright. So do we have a deal?" he asked
Ava nodded. She needed a place to stay anyway. Her rent would soon expire and Fernando would rent a house for Laurel. Alan brought out some contract forms and gave them to sign. She signed it.
"I'll come to pick you up by noon tomorrow. Please be ready by then," Alan said and walked out.
Ava waved him goodbye and sat on the couch smiling. She just needed to survive two months in that mansion, and she would use the money to rent a house and start up a business. It sounded like a good plan. She stood up and continued what she was doing.
The next afternoon, Alan arrived as promised to pick her up.
"Sorry for my manner. My name is Alan," he introduces himself properly.
"Ava," she replied, smiling.
Once they arrived at the mansion, Ava couldn't stop the gaping in awe. This was the mansion that the Alpha lived in. She turned to Alan.
"This place. Don't tell me your master..." she began
Alan cut her off. "Yes. My master is Alpha Lucien,"
Ava felt like throwing up. That is the most ruthless Alpha in the Blood Mist pack history. He was known for his deep passion for women.
"Wow. You never mentioned it," Ava tried her best not to sound disgusted. She couldn't believe the person who took her virginity away was Alpha Lucien. She was doomed.
She swallowed hard and continued walking behind Alan. She was shown to her room.
"You don't have to feel stuffed inside the mansion. You can go out and do all the things you normally do. Just make sure you're back before 11 o'clock," Alan informs her.
Ava slumps on the bed and brought out her phone. She saw a post on Laurel's page where Laurel was flaunting her wedding dress. Ava scoffed. Laurel finally got what she wanted. Marrying Fernando was the reason she betrayed her. Ever felt a pang in her chest. She was disappointed that her little sister would be the one to betray her.
In the video, Fernando smiled softly as he watched Laurel walk into the hall in her wedding dress. It was the same dress Ava was supposed to wear. The same dress she went to collect before catching him in the act with her sister. She knew he didn't feel regret as he was smiling proudly in the video. Ava sighed tiredly and switched off her phone. She didn't want to start her stay in this house thinking of those two.

Lucien sighed tiredly as Alan brought the news of a planned rogue attack. He fiddles with the pen in his hands.
"How could this have happened right under our noses?" He calmly asked.
"It took everyone by surprise. We never expected to be attacked by rogues. They took some of our stocks and also took some wolf mates," Alan explained.
Lucien felt as if he was struck with a heavy blow. The worst thing that could happen to a werewolf is being separated from our mates. Even though he never did find his mate, he still knew the pain it would inflict on those innocent lives. He stared at Alan who had a similar expression to mine. He had also lost his mate some years back due to a rogue attack when they both went on a vacation. Since that incident, Alan hasn't remained the same. He had to go through a pain that was worse than death itself.
"Has anyone been able to track down the rogues?" he asked.
Alan nodded in negation. "We were only able to find a few little hints that may lead to their secret hideout,"
Lucien felt his patience hanging on a thin thread. "Spill."
"According to our investigation, we found a few evidence that was pointing towards the location of the hideout. You might not like the outcome," Alan began
One look from Lucien made him swallow and continued.
"Apparently, the leader has been living within the pack for years now without being noticed," he said.
"Who is he?" Lucien asked.
"Your brother, Norton.”
