IN THE DARKNESS
The first one stepped into the dark room, followed closely by the second one who closed the door behind them.
"I can give you what you want." The first one said.
The heart of the second one leaped with hope, "Really?"
"More riches. More power. More respect. I can give it to you." The first one boasted with a gentle voice. "You should not always have to prove yourself before those people. I can give you a different story, a better one."
"Do it for me, please." The second one said.
"I will." The first one smiled and walked towards the table on which sat a very dim lamp and a box.
"Then of course I have become indebted to you." The second one said and the first one liked the sound of that.
