The members of 4 Freedom gathered for meetings in the shed at the back of Jack Bragg’s Semaphore home. From the outside, the shed looked like any of the other galvanised iron garages hiding in the yards behind older houses across the beachside suburb. Inside, however, it was a different matter. Jack had spent a small fortune creating his man cave. He’d lined the walls and ceiling with insulation and plasterboard, covered the concrete floor with slate tiles to conceal the location of his gun safe, and paid for the space to be connected to the electrical circuitry of his house so he could install a refrigerator and an air conditioner.
