Apart from mealtimes, which afforded her an opportunity to get some exercise, Margaret had been confined to her cell in the corner of what she understood to be a large shed. It had been quiet for most of the time, so quiet, in fact, she was convinced she was being held in a rural location. The sound of hens clucking in the distance during the daylight hours only reinforced her sense of rural isolation. After returning to her cell following their evening meal, she’d meditated for an hour and then lay down on the bed and gone to sleep. There was nothing else to do in the semi-darkness of the weak moonlight illuminating her prison.
