Chapter 98

Ethan and Jade immediately stopped their conflict and let go of each other.

Ethan turned around just in time to see four masked robbers, their eyes the only visible part of their faces, burst into the bank with guns in hand.

The lead robber shouted, "Everyone, get down on your knees! Or don't blame me, Tom, for blowing you away!"

The ordinary civilians in the bank lobby had never seen such a scene before, and their faces contorted in shock and screams echoed throughout the place.

A woman in a blue dress screamed and instinctively ran towards the exit, shouting, "Ah, robbers! Help!"

Tom cursed, "f**k, didn't I tell you all to get down? How dare you run? Do you think I'm joking?"

A chill flashed across Tom's eyes as he fired a bullet from his gun, hitting the woman in the leg, forcing her to kneel and unable to move.

Tom pointed his gun at the woman's head, growling, "Scream again, and I'll blow your brains out!"

The woman lay on the ground, frozen with fear.

Tom's face twisted with murderous intent as he threatened the rest, "Anyone else tries to run, and I'll kill them!"

Seeing the weapons in the hands of the four robbers and the chilling aura of death around them, everyone was terrified into submission, crouching down and covering their heads.

Tom carried a sack to the counter and coldly demanded, "Hand over the money!"

The other three robbers stood guard at the entrance, keeping an eye on the crowd inside.

The teller, trembling under the threat of the gun, dared not resist and shakily handed over all the money.

The four robbers were well-trained, with clear roles and swift execution.

In no time, they had filled a large bag with money, easily amounting to millions.

As the robbers prepared to flee with their loot, Jade's expression changed, and she attempted to stand up.

But Ethan quickly grabbed her and pushed her back down.

"Miss Eve, what are you doing? Calm down!" he whispered urgently.

Jade's beautiful face contorted with anger. "Bastard, let me go! I need to catch those robbers!"

Ethan held her down firmly. "They have guns. do you think you can take on all four of them alone?"

Ethan could tell that Jade had a strong sense of justice but lacked a bit of common sense.

These robbers were clearly trained criminals, agile and ruthless. They wouldn't spare her just because she was pretty.

If Jade rushed in, she would surely be killed by a single bullet.

Jade's face flushed with anger; her voice filled with righteous indignation. "Bastard! I'm a police officer. When I see robbers, I can't just stand by and watch them escape!"

Ethan's eyes flickered slightly. 'Police officer?'

Ethan was surprised.

The Miss of the Eve family was actually a police officer?

Didn't the head of the Eve family concern for his precious daughter's safety?

Ethan knew Jade might have some skills, but how could she possibly defeat four armed robbers?

For Jade's safety, Ethan refused to let her go.

Jade impatiently hissed at him, "You pervert, get out of my way! If you're not going to help, don't stop me from saving people!"

Ethan spoke with utmost seriousness, "Miss Eve, do you think they only have guns?"

If the robbers only had guns, Ethan would have already taken them down.

But he didn't because he discovered that they were also carrying dynamite!

The explosive power of the dynamite was immense. If one of the robbers detonated it, everyone in the lobby would be blown to smithereens.

"Whoop!"

Suddenly, the sound of police sirens blared, and police cars sped towards the bank.

Someone had triggered the alarm, and the nearby police had arrived swiftly.

An officer held a megaphone and shouted into the bank, "Robbers inside, you are surrounded! Surrender now and drop your weapons!"

Outside, a dozen police officers aimed their guns at the bank.

Upon hearing the police's call, Jade's face lit up with relief.

Jade knew that with the reinforcements having arrived, it would be absolutely feasible to defeat these four robbers by working from both inside and outside.

"Whoosh!"

Jade suddenly sprang up from the ground like a leopard, striking when the robbers' attention was fixed outside. She lunged at the one closest to her.

Caught off guard, the robber was knocked to the ground by Jade's swift move.

Grabbing the robber's gun, Jade pointed it at his head and shouted loudly, "Freeze!"

The other robbers were stunned. "Who are you? Let my brother go!"

Seeing his comrade captured and with a gun pointed at his head, Tom's face darkened as his eyes darted frantically, seeking a solution.

Jade sneered; her eyes filled with triumph. 'Who I am is irrelevant. What matters is that you're surrounded. Surrender your weapons, and you might have a chance to live. Resist, and death is your only option!'

As a police officer with a strong sense of justice, Jade still adhered to the necessary procedures when dealing with these robbers.

Ethan, squatting on the ground, helplessly rolled his eyes, feeling exasperated by Jade's actions.

Shouldn't they just shoot the robbers now?

Tom grinned menacingly and abruptly lifted his shirt, revealing explosives strapped to his body. 'Release my brother, or I'll ignite these explosives, and we'll all go down together!'

Jade was shocked.

She never expected these robbers to possess such dangerous items!
