Ethan was escorted into the second block of the prison.
With the heavy prison gate slamming shut behind him, Ethan raised his eyebrows slightly, taking in everything around him.
The dimly lit cell was permeated with a pungent stench, and the mottled walls bore faint traces of barely noticeable bloodstains.
Dozens of eyes fixed on Ethan, filled with sarcasm, disdain, and an overwhelming brutality.
A faint smile curved at the corner of Ethan's lips.
It seems that d**k has made quite a few powerful enemies. Even in this sunless dungeon, he's managed to gather so many worthless creatures.
Ethan calmly walked over to his designated bunk. As soon as he sat down, a loud voice boomed. "Newbie, look up! Let old Baker have a good look at you!"
A burly man with a face covered in stubble and a long diagonal scar across his cheek confronted Ethan.
Baker chuckled. "Wow, I never expected our cell to welcome such a handsome fellow!"
A sinister gleam flashed in Baker's eyes as he chuckled. "Kid, go stand by the wall and drop your pants. Let me give you a thorough check for any prohibited!"
"Ha-ha..." The inmates erupted into a chorus of twisted laughter.
Ethan didn't even bother to lift his eyelids, coldly uttering a single word. "f**k off!"
Baker's face contorted with rage, "Brat! Do you have any f*****g idea where you are? Dare you talk back to me like that? Don't you know I could kill you!"
A chill flashed through Ethan's eyes as he seized Baker's wrist with his right hand and squeezed with all his might.
"Crack!"
The sound of bone snapping echoed throughout the cell, accompanied by Baker's screams of agony.
Ethan's gaze swept over the inmates, his voice ice-cold and imbued with arrogance, "Don't provoke me, or you'll die."
Baker roared, "What are you all standing there for? Kill him!"
The inmates hesitated for a moment before their faces twisted into ferocious expressions, and they charged at Ethan with guttural roars.
A chill suddenly coursed through Ethan's face. In this place, there was no room for mercy.
Ethan struck mercilessly, and the cell echoed with cries of agony.
The sounds reached the ears of the guards outside, who chose not to intervene in the inmates' fight.
One of the guards sighed, turning away, "d**k, it's your bad luck. Who told you to offend the bigwig?"
However, the scene inside the cell was vastly different from what the guard had imagined.
The once-vicious inmates now lay sprawled on the ground.
Ethan's voice dripped with disdain, "With your pathetic skills, you thought you could take me down?"
Baker trembled with fear, "Stop! Our boss is the Wolf King. If you hurt us, he'll never let you off the hook!"
A faint smile played at the corner of Ethan's lips, "Wolf King? What can he do to me?"
A hoarse voice resounded behind Ethan, "H mph! Quite the bravado!"
Ethan felt a palpable aura of murder envelop him instantly.
Slowly turning around, Ethan's expression flickered with surprise when he saw the man's face, followed by a slight smile.
Baker's face lit up with ecstatic relief, "Boss, you're finally here!"
Baker glared at Ethan with deep hatred, "Ha-ha... You're doomed. Absolutely doomed. Boss, this is the brat that the Eve family ordered us to deal with. You must teach him a harsh lesson."
Before Baker could finish, an unexpected turn of events occurred.
The towering Wolf King, standing over 6.5 feet tall, advanced step by step towards Ethan.
The Wolf King halted, and the aura of murder instantly transformed into profound reverence.
To the astonishment of everyone, tears streamed down the Wolf King's face as he exclaimed, "Master Ethan, I am Sunny Phillip. Thank you for your teachings!"
Baker's eyes bulged with shock, stammering, "Boss, what... what's going on?"
Baker, tears streaming down his face, said, "Boss, I was wrong! It was the order of the Eve family to deal with this person, and it was also you who instructed the brothers to do so!"
Sunny's eyes turned fierce: "Bullshit! The person I told you to deal with was d**k, the eldest son of the Lee family. This one is Master Ethan."
Before Baker could say anything, Ethan spoke calmly, "That's right, the identity I used to go to prison was d**k's."
Sunny was shocked, his face filled with disbelief: "What?! Master, what...what does that mean?"
Ethan smiled and said, "I took d**k's place and went to prison for him!"
Seeing Sunny's confusion, Ethan asked, "By the way, what's this about the Eve family you mentioned earlier?"
In response to Ethan's question, Sunny explained, "d**k intended to misbehave with Jade Eve, the daughter of the Eve family. Fortunately, he was stopped in time before any tragedy occurred. The head of the Eve family was enraged and instructed us to give d**k a lesson he would never forget after he went to prison!"
Ethan nodded slightly, understanding the situation.
The Eve family, as one of the most powerful families in the imperial capital, was far stronger than the declining Lee family!
The head of the Eve family had a daughter late in life, and Jade was his only child. d**k daring to have designs on her was nothing short of suicide!
Ethan realized that the reason why Madam Lee had him take d**k's place in prison was not only to save d**k but also to use the Eve family to eliminate him.
Sunny, observing the thoughtful expression on Ethan's face, asked, "Master, with your status, why would you go to prison in place of d**k?"
This was precisely what Sunny didn't understand.
Outsiders only knew that Ethan had disciples all over the world, but only his disciples understood the depth of their feelings for him.
In response to Sunny's question, Ethan didn't hide anything and calmly said, "I came to prison willingly this time! Although I'm taking d**k's punishment, I also have my own matters to attend to."
As he spoke, a flash of intensity suddenly appeared in Ethan's eyes: "Rais Carter should be imprisoned in the Phil Prison, right?"
Sunny's face suddenly changed: "What do you mean? He's your top disciple, and he's being held in the Phil Prison?"
Rais had served in the military for ten years, fighting battles all over the world without ever tasting defeat.
Rais was Ethan's most prized disciple, a five-star general, Rais Carter.
However, three years ago, Rais disappeared after an internal conflict and never appeared in public again.
Upon learning of this matter, Ethan has never given up searching for three years and finally obtained a clue: Rais is very likely imprisoned in Phil Prison.
Ethan looked at Sunny: "Do you know the whereabouts of Rais?"
Sunny shook his head: "Master, I don't know. Yet, there is a special space in our Number 2 Block. It was heavily guarded twenty-four hours a day, with meals delivered three times a day by dedicated personnel, and tightly secured."
Ethan's gaze shifted slightly: "Are you suggesting that he might be held there?"
Sunny nodded: "It's possible! Anyone guarded so closely must be a significant threat!"
Ethan stood up, a smile crossing his face: "Instead of speculating here, why don't we go and see for ourselves?"
Listening to Ethan's casual tone, Sunny smiled bitterly. "The place is heavily guarded. Anyone who rashly enters would be shot dead by the guards without needing any reason. To enter safely, within the entire prison, only one person has that authority."
Sunny continued. "That person is Brad Grant, the warden of Phil Prison!"
Three days later, Ethan finally met the warden.
Sunny accompanied Ethan to the warden's office.
The warden, Brad Grant, was a fat middle-aged man. He looked at Sunny with his small eyes and said arrogantly, "I wonder who it is! It's the Wolf King of Cell 9. What brings you here to request a meeting with me?"
Sunny chuckled and said, "Mr. Grant, it's not me."
Brad looked at Ethan's unfamiliar face and asked puzzledly. "Who are you?"
Ethan stood with his hands behind his back, a slight smile playing at the corners of his lips. "Ethan Lee."
'Ethan Lee?' Brad's mind raced. No one in the Phil Prison was named Ethan Lee, was there?
Brad asked coldly. "What do you want with me?"
Ethan chuckled, "It's nothing major. I just want to ask you a question. Who is being held in the deepest cell of Block 2?"
