Chapter 32

Everyone stared at Charles and Ethan, when they entered the room. Some were surprised, and some looked down on them, but most were just curious. Some were talking in whispers, coming to Ethan's ears. "Hey, isn't that Charles? He just got thrown out, and now he's back! Didn't he get enough? Haha!" "Shh! Be quiet. Charles isn't just the head of a minor family anymore! Didn't you hear about his daughter's grand wedding last month?" "Yeah, I heard about that. So what?" "Today, Charles offended the Governor's eldest son. His mother is also from a big family in Crownspire!" "This time, Charles is in real trouble!" Sophia stepped forward and grabbed Ethan, looking very worried. "Ethan, don't be impulsive!" Ethan smiled at her and patted her hand. "Don't worry, I can be reasonable. You and July wait here. I'll be right back." Ethan had just taken two steps when a slap and a sharp curse came from behind, "Are you blind?" Ethan turned to see Sophia holding her swollen cheek and looking at a rich woman with a hurt expression. "You... How could you hit me?" The woman said arrogantly, "Hit you? That's nothing! Do you know how much this dress costs? You poor woman, this dress is worth more than your miserable life!" The woman's luxurious dress had a red wine stain. Sophia said, "I accidentally bumped into you, but I can apologize and pay for the damage. Why did you hit me?" The woman was furious. "Oh! You b*tch, how dare you talk back to me? I’m Dolly Nilson!" Dolly raised her hand to slap Sophia again. But suddenly, someone grabbed her wrist. Before she could see who it was, her right cheek was slapped hard, and blood appeared at the corner of her mouth. Dolly stared at Ethan in disbelief. "You... you dare to hit me?" Ethan pulled Sophia behind him and looked at Dolly coldly. "You hit my wife. Why shouldn't I hit you?" Dolly pointed at Ethan and screamed, "Do you know who I am?! I'm a star! Believe it or not, my crazy fans will make your life hell with just one word!" Ethan looked at her with disdain. "I don't know if your fans can destroy me, but I do know that if you make another noise, your other cheek will get slapped too!" Dolly felt immense pressure and instinctively covered her other cheek. She opened her mouth but didn't dare to speak. Just then, Eason's voice came through. "Hey! Why is it so noisy here?" The crowd quickly made way, and Eason walked over arrogantly. Seeing Eason, Dolly seemed to find her backbone. She threw herself into his arms, crying pitifully, and exaggerated what had happened. Listening to Dolly's twisted story, Ethan sneered and didn't even respond. With concern, he looked at Sophia's cheek, which had a slap mark. "Does it hurt? Let me get you to the hospital." Eason's cold voice rang out. "Wait! You dirtied Miss Nilson's clothes and hit her. Do you think you can just leave like that?" Ethan stopped and looked at him coldly. "Or what? What do you want?" Eason, with an arrogant look, spoke patronizingly. "I'm in a good mood today, so I won't make things difficult for you. You dirtied my woman's clothes, so you need to compensate." Ethan nodded. "You're right. Compensation is due." Dolly glared at Ethan and said, "This dress is the latest creation by the world-famous fashion master Camus. It’s worth a million! And it's the only one in existence, so its value can't be measured by money alone." Ethan raised an eyebrow with a hint of a smile. "So, do you want us to pay you a million dollars?" Dolly said firmly, "I don't need money! This dress means a lot to me, so I want you to get me an identical one!" Ethan sighed and rubbed his forehead. "It’s really tough." Dolly's face showed pride and arrogance, and her eyes were full of malice. She looked at Sophia and said even more viciously, "You beggars, if you can't pay for my dress, then let this b*tch strip off her clothes and get out of here naked!" Ethan looked at Dolly and smiled mysteriously. "Are you sure you want me to get you an identical dress?" Convinced Ethan couldn't do it, Dolly quickly said, "Of course! It has to be identical!" Ethan made a phone call, briefed the request, and then hung up. "Wait a moment. Your dress will be here soon." Dolly looked disdainful. "Hmph! Don't think you can fool me! Even if I wait all day, you won't get a dress made by Master Camus." Before she finished, Dolly's agent rushed in, looking flustered. Dolly, annoyed, asked, "Why are you here?" The agent, sweating, said, "Master Camus just called me. He said he would make another identical dress and airlift it by tonight. And..." Halfway through, the agent's voice showed panic. "Master Camus also said this is the last custom-made dress, and the endorsement deal is canceled. Dolly, what did you do to offend Master Camus?" As a popular star, Dolly's company spent a lot of money to elevate her to her current position. Modeling Camus's new collection was a huge boost to her reputation. Dolly's film company spent a lot just to ensure she could lead a new fashion trend and earn more for the company. But suddenly, all of that was gone! Seeing Dolly's disbelief, Ethan smiled and said, "Don't worry, this is just a small punishment. The real punishment is coming soon!"
