Mrs. Turner's hand was still far from Sophia's face when it was caught by Ethan. He, with a cold expression, swung his hand back, delivering a loud and hard slap to her face.
Five bright red fingerprints appeared on Mrs. Turner's right cheek. She held her face, looking at Ethan in disbelief. "H-How dare you!"
Ethan looked at her coldly. "Isn't such an ugly face meant to be hit?"
Ms. Seaton asked with concern, "Mrs. Turner, are you alright?"
Mrs. Turner shrieked, "Just you wait! Ms. Seaton, I want their daughter to be banned from every kindergarten in Crownspire!"
Ms. Seaton glanced at them and smirked, "That's easy. I'll have my brother tweak her records, every public kindergarten in Crownspire will reject her."
Sophia, both angry and anxious, said, "How can you do this?" She was distraught, as such actions would significantly affect July's future education.
Ms. Seaton sneered, "Do you think Mrs. Turner got slapped for nothing?"
Ms. Seaton looked at Ethan with disdain, "The price for that slap is that your daughter will be barred from every public school in Crownspire, from kindergarten to university. Like you, her future is doomed; she’ll struggle at the bottom of society for the rest of her life. Haha..."
Ethan's eyes turned cold when he saw her arrogant smile. "Is this how a teacher should talk? You've broadened my horizons! If people like you remain in the education system, it would be detrimental to all children's futures!"
Ethan then made a phone call. "Bring your men over to Angel Kindergarten in ten minutes."
Ms. Seaton looked at Ethan as if he were a fool. "Are you seriously going to report me? Oh dear, I'm so scared!"
Ms. Seaton dialed a number and, in a sweet voice, said, "Lester, someone is causing trouble at the kindergarten and insists on reporting me to get me fired. What should I do?"
Ms. Seaton's brother was furious. "What?! They must be insane, nobody messes with my sister! Wait, I'm on my way!"
Soon, a middle-aged man, about fifty years old, hurried in with two others.
The man took one look at Ethan and approached him respectfully. "Are you Mr. Lee? It's a great honor to meet you. I'm George Hilton."
Ethan didn't even look at George, saying lightly, "The quality of teachers here really disappoints me."
Although Ethan's voice was not loud, George broke out in a cold sweat. "It's... it's all my fault. Please forgive me, Mr. Lee."
George didn't know who Ethan was, but he had just received an urgent call from the Minister of Education, instructing him to rush over immediately.
George turned to Ms. Seaton and said sternly, "Dismiss her immediately and announce to the entire Crownspire education sector that she will never be employed again!"
Ms. Seaton screamed, "Do you know who I am? How dare you fire me?!"
Ms. Seaton looked George up and down, then said disdainfully, "At your age, you're still running around over a complaint call; you must be some minor official, right? Listen carefully, Lester Seaton is my brother. With one word from me, not only will you fail to fire me, but you won't even keep your own job!"
Ms. Seaton sneered, "Shouldn't you be quietly working until retirement, so you can collect your pension? Do you know who you're dealing with? How dare you try to show off in front of me?"
George was trembling with anger. "You...! How can we justify spending the taxpayers' money with people like you in the education system? You listen carefully, you will be fired today! No one can protect you!"
Lester's voice echoed, "I'd like to see who dares to fire my sister!"
A portly man walked into the classroom, and Ms. Seaton immediately approached him. "Lester, this old man wants to fire me; he doesn't even respect you!"
George slowly turned around, "Well, well... Lester, how powerful you are!"
Once he saw who had arrived, Lester froze. However, Ms. Seaton continued shouting, "Lester, look how arrogant this old man is! He doesn't even respect you! Make him apologize to me, or fire him immediately and strip him of his pension!"
Lester roared, "Shut up!"
Lester hurried over to George and fawned around him, "Director, why... why are you here? Please don't be angry. My sister has a fever; she was hallucinating and talking nonsense."
Ms. Seaton couldn't believe it, her mouth fell open as she looked at Ethan in disbelief. 'If this man is the director of the education bureau, and Ethan can summon him with a single phone call, who the hell is Ethan?'
Ethan then calmly turned to his wife, "Sophia, since the director of the Southern District Education Bureau is here, why don't we tell him what just happened and see what he thinks of it?"
Sophia, as if waking from a dream, recounted everything that had happened in detail. After listening to everything, George became furious, "This is outrageous! Having a teacher like this in the education system is a disgrace!"
George coldly announced, "In addition to her dismissal, revoke Ms. Seaton's teaching credentials and suspend Lester so we can thoroughly investigate his misdeeds. He will be dealt with severely if any misconduct is found during his tenure!"
Lester and his sister collapsed to the ground, defeated.
George then turned his gaze to Mrs. Turner, "Your son does not meet the admission requirements for Angel Kindergarten, so his enrollment is canceled. Madam, if you wish for your child to attend school, please follow the public school procedures and queue for the unified assessment."
Clap! Clap! Clap! Mrs. Turner applauded as she looked at Ethan, "I underestimated you. I didn't expect you to have the power to summon the Southern District Education Bureau's director. It seems you're different from those lowly commoners. At least you're a slightly stronger, son-of-b*tch."
Mrs. Turner's expression turned sinister, "But lowly commoners will always be lowly commoners. You'll pay dearly for hitting me!"
Mrs. Turner then turned to George. "As for you... a mere education bureau director, do you really think you're important? How could my son possibly be expected to queue up like those lowly commoners?"
George shouted sternly, "Madam! Watch your tongue! Don't let your ignorance affect your child!"
Mrs. Turner laughed hysterically, "Haha... You lot aren't worth it! With my son's status, he can attend any kindergarten in the southern district. As for that silly assessment, you're just a minor official and have no right to decide my son's future!"
George replied angrily, "Fine! Listen here, as long as I am director, your child will not attend any kindergarten without following the proper procedures!"
Someone shouted, "Then you shouldn't be director anymore!"
Mrs. Turner immediately brightened up, twisting her waist as she walked towards the speaker, looking aggrieved. "Darling, why are you just arriving now? If you had been a moment later, Kevin and I would have been bullied to death!"
The man saw the red mark on Mrs. Turner's face, and a cold light flashed in his eyes. He shouted angrily, "Who would dare bully my wife and child on my turf?!"
Henry Turner turned his gaze to the education director. "George, was it you?!"
