The two security guards who had initially bullied Sophia and were then knocked down to the ground turned pale, instantly, feeling as if their hearts were about to stop. Ethan didn't even glance at them but muttered to himself, "Whichever hand hit her, cut it off yourself, or I'll do it."

After saying this, Ethan turned and left. He didn't want to show his bloodthirsty side in front of Sophia, but those who made mistakes needed to be punished.

After Ethan walked out of the office, Ghost Wolf appeared expressionlessly at the door and closed it behind him. The sound of bones snapping, at the same time, the security guards' shrill screams echoed through the room. The manager, upon witnessing Ghost Wolf's violence, was so frightened that he involuntarily wet himself.

Ghost Wolf frowned and said, "Your sin is greater. You don't need this arm." He then walked over. The manager, crawling on the ground, tried to retreat, his weakened body failed him.

"Ah!"

With the manager's scream, Ghost Wolf twisted and tore off his entire arm before turning to leave.

Back at the Harris home, Ethan carried Sophia to her room. Quickly, he fetched some medicine and, seeing the clear marks on her face, felt pity flood his heart. "Don't move! Let me apply some medicine to you. We don't want these to leave scars."

Suddenly, Sophia grabbed Ethan's hand, staring at him intently. "Ethan, why is there so much money on that card?"

Ethan was slightly taken aback, then smiled, "That card? Maybe it was a gift from one of my students. Over time, I simply forgot..."

'Forgot? How could anyone forget about such a large amount of money?' Sophia thought, disregarding the pain on her face. "Ethan, you're a teacher. Educating people is your responsibility. We can't take such a large amount of money!"

Ethan smiled bitterly and nodded, unsure how to explain to her. It seemed she misunderstood his profession, always thinking he was a teacher.

Sophia said seriously, "I'll keep the card safe, but I won't touch a penny of it! You should think about which student gave it to you so we can return it!"

Seeing Sophia's anxious look, Ethan sighed inwardly. If a supreme card elicits this reaction, how would she handle knowing my true status in society? 'I'll have to take this slow...'

Sophia asked curiously, "Ethan, are you listening to me?"

Ethan smiled helplessly, "I'm listening... Let's apply the medicine first. Be good and bear the pain..."

As Ethan carefully tended to her wounds, Sophia's cheeks turned red.

At that moment, the sunlight streamed through the window, casting a warm glow on them. Under the golden rays, their breaths grew increasingly rapid. Slowly, slowly, they drew closer and their lips met. Under the sunlight, a deep sense of warmth and intimacy filled the air.

Neither noticed the soft sound as the door gently closed. Outside, July's face bore a mischievous smile.

Ethan gently laid Sophia on the bed, slowly kissing from her lips down to her neck. Just as he was about to undress her, she stopped him.

Sophia pushed Ethan away. "Ethan, I'm sorry."

Ethan thought she wasn't ready yet and was about to reassure her when she quickly interjected, "I almost forgot I have an interview with Angel Group. I need to hurry, or I'll be late!"

Ethan was stunned. "Interview?"

Sophia nodded. "Yes, staying at home all the time and just eating will make me gain weight. Besides, I need to develop my skills, whether it's for running our own household in the future or managing the Harris family's business. Moreover, we need to be a role model for July. Laziness is not a good habit."

Hearing this, Ethan smiled bitterly. "Work? Is that really necessary?"

Sophia looked at him seriously. "Of course it is! Not only do I need to work, but so do you! If you get a job, I'll let you... continue what we started." With that, she blushed and left.

Angel Group was a top-ten large commercial group in the country. Recently established in Greenhill City, the branch attracted many job seekers with its excellent benefits and reputation. In just a few days, the company's mailbox was flooded with resumes.

At this moment, in the Angel Group's conference room, a hundred candidates were bent over their desks with the company's test papers. With the chief examiner's announcement that time was up, Sophia took a deep breath and handed in her completed test.

Five examiners sat in a row, with the middle one, an elegant woman, scanning the crowd with an air of arrogance. "I am Grace Kline, the HR director. Given this opportunity by Angel Group, you should all feel honored to be here.."

The four other examiners began grading the papers swiftly. Most people were nervous, but Sophia smiled confidently.

Sophia had studied economic management in college with excellent academic performance, otherwise, She wouldn’t had become Ethan's temporary assistant. Despite giving up her career for survival in the past five years, her abilities and degree remained. She was confident in her performance.

Grace, observing the expressions of the candidates, felt a hint of disdain. She was a specially assigned HR director from the headquarters, a prestigious university graduate with a million-dollar annual salary, naturally feeling superior in this small city.

Suddenly, her eyes locked onto Sophia, and she frowned deeply, walking slowly towards her.

"Tap, tap, tap!"

Hearing the crisp sound of fingers tapping on the table, Sophia looked up, finding Grace  before her. Sophia stood up quickly, their eyes meeting as a trace of confusion flashed in Sophia's eyes.

'That face... I've seen it somewhere before...'

Her eyes then caught the name badge on Grace's chest: HR Director, Grace Kline. Suddenly, she remembered and smiled broadly, opening her arms. "Grace, is it really you? What a surprise to see you here!"

Grace, however, stepped back, avoiding the hug. Seeing the awkwardness on Sophia's face, Grace's lips curled into a smirk. "I never expected to see you, the only student ever expelled from our academy, the academy's greatest disgrace!"
