Roger, excited, said, "Master, you recently got married. I should have dropped everything to attend your wedding. But I accidentally broke my leg and just got out of the hospital today. I rushed over as soon as I could!"

Roger respectfully said, "You are my mentor. I should have visited you. How could I trouble you to come here? And why didn't you let me know you were coming so I could personally greet you at the door?"

Ethan gave a sarcastic smile. "Greet me? Someone said I look like a toilet repairman, so your security just let me in."

Hearing this, Grace panicked and quickly stepped forward to explain, "President, it's not like that, please listen to my expla—"

Slap!

Roger swung a backhanded slap, and Grace's right cheek visibly swollen. He glared at her coldly, "How dare you insult the Master?"

Roger's anger reached its peak.

Seven years ago, Roger's business failed, leaving him heavily in debt. Just as he was about to jump off a building, he met Ethan. In just half an hour, Ethan pointed him in the right direction. With that advice, Roger turned his fortunes around, and his business grew ever larger. Without Ethan back then, there would be no Angel Group today!

Over the past seven years, though Roger had only met Ethan for half an hour, Ethan was undeniably his mentor.

At this moment, many local applicants from Greenhill City turned pale after hearing Roger's words.

People whispered among themselves, "Isn't this man the one who married the Harris family's daughter a month ago?"

"I heard the wedding had planes and tanks. The scale was terrifying!"

"It must be him! This woman must be the Harris family's eldest daughter!"

"With such a high-status husband, how could she possibly cheat for a job?"

The applicants who had slandered Sophia now all looked ashen.

Roger ignored the other people's words and, with cold eyes, looked at Grace. "Take her away and teach her how to speak properly!"

Grace cried out, "No! Mr. Marina! Please don't!" Grace had heard rumors about Roger's ruthlessness. For those who displeased him, their outcomes were extremely grim.

Seeing two burly men walking towards her with expressionless faces, Grace begged Ethan, "I'm sorry! I underestimated you! I was as blind as a bat. Please, forgive me!"

Seeing her crying, Ethan slightly bent down and looked down at her. "I can accept your apology, but shouldn't you also apologize to my wife for framing her as a cribber?"

Roger slammed his hand on the table, "What?! You dared to accuse the Master's wife of cheating?" Veins bulged on Roger's forehead as he glared at Grace, looking like he wanted to swallow her whole. Putting aside Ethan's life-saving grace, Roger, as a businessman, understood Ethan's true status. With his influence, gaining his friendship would mean standing alongside the top elites across all industries in the country!

If Ethan's wife could work at Roger's company, it would be a great honor! But this fool was about to throw away such a great opportunity!

Seeing Roger's murderous expression, Grace shivered and shook her head vigorously. "I didn't falsely accuse her! Others can testify! Sophia did cheat!"

'I can't admit it! I couldn't admit it! Mocking Ethan at most shows a bad attitude. But if I admit to falsely accusing Sophia, given Roger's anger, I definitely won't see the light of day!' Thinking of this, she quickly looked at the several people who had testified earlier, her gaze full of threat, as if saying, 'We're all in this together. If the ship sinks, none of us will survive!'

Those people understood the meaning in Grace's eyes. Coupled with their fear of Ethan's identity, they had to grit their teeth and heavily nod, affirming that they indeed saw Sophia cheat.

After all, the higher one's status, the more they abide by the law. As long as Ethan couldn't prove they were lying, he couldn't do anything to them in front of so many people.

Roger jumped up in fury, "Nonsense! How could the Master's wife cheat?! Someone, take this mad woman spouting nonsense away!"

Grace suddenly stood up, putting on a righteous front, "Mr. Marina! If you want to give Sophia special treatment and hire her through connections, that's your business. We subordinates have no say!"

Grace spoke confidently, "The company trusted me to be the chief examiner, and I must be responsible for the company, selecting the best talents. Cheating is cheating. If you insist on clearing her name, is it fair to the other candidates who work hard to get into Angel Group?"

Roger's face turned slightly grim. He had to admit, Grace had a point. If he insisted on defending Sophia without any evidence proving her innocence, it might deliver a significant blow to the company's reputation.

Ethan smiled and shook his head. Suddenly, he said, "The Angel Group's management recruitment test should have more than one set of questions, right?"

Roger was stunned for a moment, then nodded, "Yes, the recruitment test for management positions in the company was given by the former director of management before leaving. There are two sets. The other set, meant for director-level candidates, is much more challenging than the current one."

Ethan's lips curved into a slight smile, "In that case, why not have my wife take the director-level test in front of everyone? If her score is decent, wouldn't that prove whether she cheated or not?"
