  Chapter 27 The three days Devante stayed at Michael’s place flew by. Between cooking meals, going for long walks around Devante’s public library shift and Michael’s practices, and the number of times Charlie knocked on their door “just to say hi,” Devante barely had time to be nervous about how close his first day at his new job was.
