Chapter 4: Starting With The Plan

[The next day]

"Wake up... wake up... the Village Chief has summoned you... hurry..."

Kurohito heard voices, trying to wake him up coming from outside the room. He was sleeping in the guest room in the Village Centre Building, after arriving at the village and meeting the Village Chief.

He wakes up, heads to the door opening it, trying to find who's calling him. He opened the door and found Kayo standing outside.

"What's the matter, you need something..."

He asks...

"Hmmmm... the village chief has summoned you at the village centre..."

"He wants to discuss important matter..."

"Quickly come there we're all waiting... hmmmm..."

Kayo replies... excitedly and leaves.

"Important matter..? is it about the Pillagers..?"

"Well I'll found out when I get there..."

Kurohito thought.

Kurohito comes to the village centre, and as the name implies it's at the centre of the village. It's a big open area with a water fountain at the middle surrounded by a circular path after which shops and houses surround the area. Crowd was gathered around forming a big circle.

As they saw Kurohito walk in the crowd started talking...

"Hmmmm... who's that"

"I've never seen him around?"

"Is he a visitor???"

"he is a traveller?"

"Hmmmm...."

Noise could be heard from the crowd. Trying to guess who Kurohito might be...

The village Chief was in the centre sitting right Infront of the water fountain accompanying him was two guards besides him.

Kurohito got closer to the chief. Chief got up and spoke with a loud voice introducing Kurohito to the crowd.

"Hmmmm... Let me introduce this Young Man before you..."

"He's name is Kurohito, he is a Player, who has come to save our village..."

"Now our village will be saved from those inhumane Pillagers..."

"We should all be great-full for his kindness..."

"He's willing to help us without anything in return..."

As the Chief finished speaking, the villagers all went silent and surprised everyone started looking with blank face. Everyone started starring at Kurohito.

"Huh... what, why are they making that face... are they doubting me... questioning if I'm really a Player..."

"I didn't knew this will happen!"

"Do they want to kick me out???"

Kurohito started doubting if the villagers trusted him or not...

But then the villagers started crying with tears flowing out of their eyes... and laughing at the same time... Kurohito didn't know what to make of this situation... he got more confused...

"Hmmmm... sob... sob... we are saved now..."

"Our painful days are finally at its end..."

One villager said...

"We, don't have to go through those painful days again..."

"With the help of a Player we can definitely win against those Pillagers..."

other villager said...

The villagers were trusting of Kurohito and started celebrating with joy. as they finally had hope...

"Huh... wait... are they trusting me, or am I imagining things..."

Kurohito thought, as he starts getting nervous

"Wait but don't they have too much faith in me..."

"Because even I don't know if I can fend of the Pillagers or not..."

"As I don't know how strong they are..?"

Kurohito looks at the crying faces of the Villagers...

"But... at this point I have to help them, I don't even know how strong the Pillagers are but I will definitely defeat them..."

"And not because I deliberately want to help them, but it's because I have to finish this Quest..."

"I didn't expect they would trust me as, I mean in Minecraft you literally abduct them and use them to build automatic farms, which is basically a form of torture..."

"so, I don't really care about them..."

The villagers trust Kurohito in protecting them from the Pillager and the Villagers will also help him as much as they can.

To fend off Pillagers he comes up with a plan, the village is quite big and defending it will be difficult so to counter that he comes up with a plans to build a wall around the Village and rigging the outside with traps. That way Pillagers won't be able to enter the village and if they get near the wall they will take damage.

He will set up redstone traps inside and outside the village, some guard villagers will be on top of the wall using Bow to fight Pillagers and some using TNT Cannon, while some guards will stay on land and fight with sword. The guard villagers don't have good armour so he plans on making those too and for that he might need to go mining. The village is made in a Savannah Biome so the area is really flat it shouldn't be much difficult to follow the plans.

But to fight the Strongest mob in Pillagers party he will spawn Iron Golems, he also wanted to spawn Snow Golems but because of Savannah he won't.

And now to decipher the plan, as he has to put his plan in actions as fast as possible because no one know when the Pillagers might attack so the faster they start preparing the better.

He calls for Miners from the Village and task's them with mining as much resources as possible he needed Iron ores, gold ores, redstone and diamonds to accomplish his plans. The miners get to work and go to the village mine to mine all these resources.

Then he calls for Builders from the village.

"Is there any builders in this village..."

He asks the villagers with loud voice so it can be heard afar.

But there was no response... as Chief explains that all the Villagers were killed by the Pillagers so we could not rebuild anything...

It seemed there was no hope... perhaps building a wall is not feasible... he can't finish building a wall alone... maybe he has to look into some other methods.

But then someone from the crowd spoke, a female villager...

"Hmmmm... we don't have anyone who can build, but if we ask other villages we might find someone..."

Kurohito completely forgot there are other villages around, if he can get their aid he'll be able to build the wall.

"So you... is there any village nearby around here...?"

"And if there is could you guide me there...?"

Kurohito asks the particular villager.

"Hmmmm.. yes! I can guide you there..."

"I even know some people who can help..."

She replied, with happy and bright smile face.

"So what's your name...???"

Kurohito asks...

"Ohh... Hmmmm... my name is Shio..."

Shio replied...

To build a wall Kurohito needs Builders to make the process faster. But in Savan Village there were no Builder Villagers left. So he decides to look for a Builder Villager in other villages, Shio one of the villager said that they knew a nearby village and a builder who could help.

Thus he prepares to leave for said village accompanying him are Kayo, Akiho and Shio as the guide. It might take around 2 days on foot so they have to leave ASAP.

Before leaving he commands some villagers to gather resources while there gone.

They're on their way to the Plains Village where they'll find the builder. The plains village is the largest village in this continent. It lies in the West from the Savannah Village. It's considered as the Centre of the Continent where people from all over the Continent visit.

After travelling for 700 blocks the Plains Village finally is visible to sight, but when Kurohito saw the Plains village he was mind-blown by its grand size.

The village was spanning around 400 blocks, the Plains Village was so massive it made the savannah village look like an outpost. The village was surrounded by massive 48 blocks high walls, that was built using Deepslate which is a stone only found in depth and is highly blast resistant.

Outside the walls, there was fields of wheat covering all the Plains area. This can't be called a village it felt more like a Kingdom. A Huge Kingdom.

He was astonished by seeing that this was all built by the villagers, He has not yet entered the Village yet he's impressed. If the people of this kingdom managed to build all this then a mere wall should be simple enough.

As he reached near the entrance gate, the gate was huge even larger than the wall and built out of gold blocks. He notices Guards guarding the entrance while a long line of people were waiting to enter. They joined in the line to wait for their turn. The line was around more than 50+ people all who looked different.

Some people waiting in line looked like Slime but with human anatomy while some looked like giant human. It seemed there were more 'Races' than he anticipated.

They finally managed to enter the Kingdom after what felt like 3 hours. The first thing Kurohito saw after entering the kingdom was the incredible architecture the houses had, it was brimming with details from the way windows were designed to point were unnecessary details were put in. There were houses with more than 2 stories, people were going on with their lives there was pubs, restaurants, shops and lot more non Minecrafty stuff.

The way this place looked nobody could tell it was Minecraft. Until you see everything is blocky.

Then Shio guided them to a certain building which was labelled 'Builder's Spot'. The building was quite big it stood out among other buildings around the area. It was located far from the entrance at least 100 blocks away. It was near a densely packed area with lots of shops around.

Without wasting any time Shio walked in... and others soon followed her...

"Welcome to 'Builder's Stop' how may I help Shio..."

Shio and group was greeted by the receptionist...

Then Shio walks to the receptionist and mutters some words... in that the Receptionist replied...

"Well... please wait a minute, I'll arrange things..."

Receptionist says and walks back doors...

"Follow me Wein is waiting in this room..."

When she came back she said to follow her... and they did...

When they reached the room the receptionist went back and then they heard a person speak.

"Nice to see you again Shio, how can I be of you help today..."

A voice greeting Shio, the person who greeted was sitting on a chair with a table infront. The room looked heavily decorated for some reason and it was really messy, paper were lying on the floor boxes were out of place and lot more.

"Ohh.. hey Wien, thanks for the help last time. But I brought company today..."

"Meet Kurohito, he is a player in this world and he'll help us to defend from the Pillagers."

"And in order to do that we needed some help..."

Shio replied while introducing Kurohito...

"A Player!... you say... I never seen a Player before, but I have heard about them..."

"Ohh... Pardon me! for my late introduction, my name is Wein, I'm a builder in this town..."

Wein introduces himself and walks up to Kurohito to shake his hand.

"So what's the reason a Player needs me for...?"

Wein asked. while making serious face...
