“KAT, PLEASE ANSWER ME,” Red pleaded as he called Katleya while driving. His right hand held the phone against his ear while his left gripped the steering wheel tightly.
He accelerated, desperate, as Katleya still wouldn’t pick up. Anxiety consumed him. He couldn’t sit still after what had happened.
“Damn it!” he shouted, slamming the wheel in frustration.
His anger momentarily clouded his attention. He was only snapped back to reality when a blinding light from a massive truck flooded the inside of his car. His eyes widened. There was no way to dodge it.
