Chapter 3

1477 Words
/Zoe/ As the brisk spring breeze blows against me, I shudder and wipe the wetness from my face, only to have it return the very next second. Due to the fact that there is a cut through on a housing estate that stands between the central business district and the outskirts of the city, the trip back home takes only approximately fifteen minutes. When I come back to my house, I will have to examine the condition of my books and the notes I took during my lectures. In any case, spending five minutes in Henry's company will be a lot more stressful than writing everything over again, which will be a lot less stressful. Although I wish there was something in my degree that I could use to take him down, I am not sure how event management will be of any assistance to me in this endeavour. One day, he will discover that I am employed by a prestigious company, where I am responsible for organising sporting events such as the Olympics and the World Cup. In addition, I would like to work on festivals. I'll be in charge, and I'll try to prevent him from accessing anything. In the event that he even listens to music at all. There is no doubt in my mind that he listens to recordings of his victims shrieking in the moments before they pass away. Okay, I am aware that he is listening to music because I am able to hear it through the wall on a regular basis. This is Bellend. Before you is a man who is jogging towards an automobile. In spite of the fact that I am unable to identify him, my mind immediately assumes that he is the thief who has been breaking into houses in the neighbourhood recently. My hand is about to grab for my phone when I hear someone yell something at him from behind a door that has been opened. A hand is raised, and he immediately gets into his vehicle. This is not the thief. I have been walking home for exactly thirteen minutes, and I am completely drenched. The cold has already made its way into my bones by the time I make my way up the trail, my sneakers are making a squelching sound, and my hair is stuck to my face. There is an automobile located in Henry's driveway. It's that annoying p*nis enlargement there. I despise him. In the event that I notice him watching me from the window, I avoid looking up and do not allow myself to do so. I open the door for myself and remove my wet shoes from the door. The reason that my roommates Sharon and Kate are not at home today is because they both have a late study class. While our calendars are not aligned, theirs are a little bit more so. It doesn't bother me at all. Having the house to myself can be a pleasant experience at times. I am shivering as I place my luggage on the mat and then remove my books from the bag. Due to the fact that the radiator in the hallway is warm, I place my books below it and then strip off my clothing, removing them as easily as if they were a second chance. For some reason, the sensation causes goose bumps to appear on both my arms and legs. I quickly make my way upstairs, naked, to the bathroom once I have finished loading my belongings into the washing machine. After taking a brief shower, I wrap myself in my largest towel for fifteen minutes since I can't be bothered to move, and then I put on my most comfortable sweatpants. Now that I'm out of the cold and dry, I can finally forget about the walk back home. The appearance of my fitness tracker is significantly improved as a result. Get rid of Henry. In order to wash away the humiliation of thinking that I should and could ask him for a favour, I am going to fetch a large glass of my extremely inexpensive wine. It is possible that I will even squander the remaining funds from my library job on Chinese cuisine. In any case, the day of payment is coming up in a few days. I am able to make it. During the time that I am in my room charging my phone, I hear him. It is more accurate to say that his music is vibrating against my wall, and there is no screeching from murder victims tonight. Do not misunderstand me; I enjoy listening to music with the volume turned up as well; nevertheless, that is the music that I listen to. He is acting in this manner in order to irritate me. I let out a growl as I make my way to my speaker and connect it to my phone. After that, I start playing some AC/DC music. That's the end of it, you scumbag. I take a strong swallow of coffee and massage my eyes at the same time. The reason I am so exhausted is because Henry and I didn't stop playing the most infantile game of'musical f*ck you' until 2:00 a.m., and that was only because the large group chat with my housemates Kate and Abigail, as well as his housemates Noah and Sam, was full of threats to turn off the power. They'd had enough, and to tell you the truth, I was done as well. I was once again reduced to the level of a child of five years old by Henry's behaviour. Every single thing that he does is superfluous. The only way I can stop myself from finding him appealing is if I mutilate his face. Following the third time that I have yawned, I take a chance and look over at Sam, and I notice that he is still staring at me from across the kitchen table. I believe that he came by this morning for "a chat," which I interpret to indicate a discussion regarding the situation with Zoe and Henry. There are interventions that take place every few months. One in which my friends warn me not to get drawn in, and I comply with their advice... for a brief period of time. Henry's behaviour is so terrible that it is difficult to ignore him. During the time when someone insults me, I will not remain silent. There is something horrible and green in a bottle, and Sam slurps it down. As a matter of fact, it contains kale. Despite the fact that he has not yet spoken a word, his dark eyes are darting around my kitchen as he prepares to speak. It's giving me an anxious feeling. Perhaps he has come to inform me that the three of them are going to be moving the house. If Henry were to leave, I wouldn't be sorry about it, but I would miss Sam and Noah. "Oh my God, are you going to utter whatever it is that you are going to state here? Just let's get this over with, shall we? His jaw is covered in a dark stubble, which he scratches. It's tremendously hot, so I'm grateful he's let it to grow a little bit first. Sam is absolutely stunning, with dark complexion, full lips, a killer smile, and eyes that are so beautiful that you could drown in them. Unfortunately, he is gay. "A chance has emerged for you to take advantage of. Despite the fact that we are both in this for the purpose of organising massive corporate events, we have to begin somewhere, right? With some reluctance, I answer, "Right," because I am not really sure where this is headed at this point. This does not begin in the same manner as the interventions do. Now, take a look. There's a customer who is extremely wealthy; they can wipe their rear ends with fifty dollars. Additionally, he had the financial means to carry out that action. "They want me to organise this significant event for the company. They stated that it is for approximately five hundred individuals. I am blown away by it, Sam! You have my utmost admiration. I agree. The problem is that I am unable to complete it on my own, and I do not want to collaborate with anyone else. You are aware of how I feel about the other idiots that are with us on this course. You and I make a good team, Ains. It is work that pays. Are you in? My brain needs a moment to catch up and take in what he is asking me before it can respond appropriately. a real job that pays decent wages in the industry that I want to work in. The answer is the simplest yes ever.
