1. a strange land

Narrator “Nooooo!” he screamed as he lost control over the yacht’s navigation. The whirlpool was way stronger than its engine.  “Help!” he screamed but it was of no use. There was absolutely no life in his reach. Everything that was supposed to be used for his safety seemed to stop working. His costly navigation set and the latest technology which was supposed to help him communicate while out at sea was futile. It was of absolutely no use at all. It was as if all the electronics suddenly ceased working.  Draco squeezed his eyes shut and covered his ears as he crouched on the deck, hoping for the best. He could feel being sucked into the massive whirlpool, as the yacht went around in circles several times. Draco continued to pray that it would be over soon. Either he would meet his death or he would survive this and he would have another great tale to narrate. But...the question was will he survive? Soon the salt of the ocean started to seep into the yacht, soaking the expensive interior and damaging the costly apparatus Draco used on his expeditions. The power of his yacht suddenly went off and the yacht started to tumble and roll dangerously. His belongings were thrown all over the place while Draco hit something hard. He knew this most probably was his doom.  He couldn’t see anything in the absolute darkness of the night. But he couldn’t care less right now. He wasn’t in a situation to care about the lights. Several things kept falling here and there. He kept his head covered with his arms trying to protect himself from being crushed under whatever was falling.  However, a sudden, violent tug, made him hit his head real hard on the nearest surface, making him lose consciousness. Unknown to him, he along with his posh yacht, was pulled into the violent whirlpool and when it was over, there wasn’t even a trace of Draco or his yacht on the Atlantic Ocean. **** Draco was washed on the shore of a strange land where the sun never set. The hot rays heated Draco’s cold face, making him grunt. He was still alive, however, he was feeble. Slowly Draco moved his head and let out soft grunts, indicating he was waking up from his state of unconsciousness.  Slowly, he opened his eyes but squeezed them shut as soon as he did because of the brightness of the place he found himself in. Once again he opened his eyes, this time, his eyes slowly adjusted to the light. He looked around in awe. What he saw was something he wouldn’t have dreamt of even in his wildest dreams.  He was on the shore of a rocky island. The whole place was filled with rocks and boulders. He saw his yacht a small distance away from him, it was completely wrecked. The water was shallow and it didn’t look like a place where anyone could ride a boat, let alone a yacht. His yacht cannot be used anyway. It looked as if it was crushed under great force.  He looked at the island and noticed strange-looking trees. The trunk was so thick but had little leaves on it. Those trees stood tall and proud towering like huge skyscrapers. In the distance, Draco noticed buildings that well towered over the tall trees, indicating that this place was inhabited. This was the strangest place he had ever seen. It was not like anything he had seen in the past. Still wondering about the place he woke up in, he glanced up into the sky.  The sky looked magical. It almost looked like the sea, which had waves in them. It was deep blue colour just like the Atlantic Ocean. The clouds had a golden tint to them as they swirled like cotton candy.  “Am I dreaming?” he murmured and rubbed his eyes. What was this place? He tried to remember what he had done to come here, still looking around. Suddenly his eyes widened. His yacht! The sea! He was pulled into the whirlpool!  “What the hell!!!!” he exclaimed. He was being pulled into another dimension? Or was this another world? What was this place?  Whatever it was, he had no choice but to go and explore. Perhaps he will find a way to survive. Maybe the inhabitants might provide some help. Right? He slipped his hand into his pocket, only to find his phone broken and completely dead.  It was useless. “Well. Here goes.” He murmured as he started to walk up the shore.  As he walked, he came across a clear pond of water where he could see what was swimming inside. There were little fish that sparkled as they swam. Some of the fish seemed to smile at him.  “What in the world.....” he gasped. “This place is creepy.” He frowned. He was so thirsty that wanted to take a sip of water from the pond. After contemplating much, he hesitantly took a palm-full of water. To his surprise, it tasted sweet and delicious. Unlike normal water. His taste buds started to beg for more, while his stomach grumbled with his desire to drink until it was full.  Draco gave in to his desires and drank until he was fully satisfied. He was beyond shocked when the sweet water gave him the energy he needed and satisfied his hunger.  “This is a strange place indeed.” He murmured. “At least now I know where I can get free drinks.” He chuckled to himself, slightly amused at what he had discovered. Who would have thought that he would find such sweet, refreshing water in the middle of nowhere? Feeling refreshed, he started to make his way deeper into the island. The tall buildings could only mean that this island indeed was inhabited. Hoping its dwellers were friendly, he walked on to the first street that he found. The place was huge. He could tell from where he stood. The buildings, the streets, even the doors of the buildings were gigantic. “Whoa....is this the land of the giants?” he whispered as he looked around in awe.  He was still admiring the strange land when all of sudden a loud voice boomed in the air. The voice seemed to fill the whole atmosphere.  “There he is! Get him!” it said, making Draco turn his head from side to side, confused.  Then, he saw yet another thing that made him freeze on his spot. He was shocked beyond imagination. There, floating towards him were two figures covered in huge robes. Their arms outstretched at him, while their robes swayed in the air as they hovered at full speed straight at Draco.  “What!” Draco was able to utter but soon he was silenced by an invisible force.  “Hushashimus!!!” one of them yelled as he pointed his forefinger at Draco, making him immobile. Despite his fear and his conscience screaming danger, he was now not able to run for his life.  “Take him to the dungeon. And make sure you lock him well. We don’t know what kind of sorcery he is up to.” A voice that came from behind ordered.  To Draco’s dismay, he was lifted into the thin air, by just a simple gesture of their hands and taken to a huge building which Draco guessed was their dungeons.  No! Let me go! I’m innocent! Innocent!  His brain kept screaming alas, his tongue refused to move. No. It couldn’t move. It was as if his tongue was locked and restrained from moving.  Great. He thought. So much for being curious and wanting to explore.
