I watched the light creep into my room. I had been here all night dozing in and out of sleep; how could I sleep? I just fought with Samuel. What if he doesn’t come back? I couldn’t bear the thought of being without him. The very thought of being without him hurt. Tears soaked my cheeks. This was the first night I spent without him since we met.
