Chapter 21 saving Hannah

Cheyenne’s P.O.V

  “I think we scared them. What do you think?” Mercury asked, finishing the last of the popcorn off just as the movie came to an end.

  “Yeah I think we did too. Oh that reminds me, I have to work tomorrow, so we better get an early night.” I replied, but Mercury frowned.

  “You know you don't have to work, we can buy the place if you love it so much and then you can hire someone to take your place.” Mercury said and it made me think for a moment or two before shaking my head.

  “Nah, I think I'm going to keep it the way it is, besides, Mack has had that place for over ten years. It's his baby and I wouldn't take that place away from him.” I replied, getting up off the couch and pulling Mercury up with me.

  “I guess you're right, babe. Besides while you're at work I have business to take care of, so while you’re there, I'll be keeping myself busy.” Mercury said, wrapping his arm around my shoulder as we walked upstairs to our room. 

  “Well, while you're doing your thing, just be careful and hurry back.” I said, getting undressed and climbing into bed.

  “Always, love. Always.” Mercury replied, lying down next to me and pulling me close, as we both drifted off to sleep. I started having this weird dream, but it wasn't like the others, this time it was about a girl. I was dreaming about this girl who was going to school, but someone pulled up in a big black SUV, opened the door and pointed a rifle at her. The gun went off, but it missed her and so the person fired the rifle once more and just as it was about to hit her between the eyes I woke up.

  “What the f**k was that?” I whispered to myself, but quickly shook it off. I didn't like this dream nor the other ones. I shook my head as I turned on my side and faced Mercury, I snuggled into his chest and tried to get back to sleep. When the morning came I got dressed and Mercury took me to work, he softly kissed me, when we got there.

  “Be safe or I'll kick your ass.” I said, giving him a stern look.

  “Promise.” Mercury said and we both started to laugh. I got out of the car and watched as he drove off. I walked into the coffee shop and got everything ready, then turned the open sign around and went back behind the counter, just as the door opened. I looked up and my jaw dropped open when I saw that it was the same girl I had dreamed about last night. What the hell is going on? I thought to myself as she walked over to the counter.

  “Hello, can I have an orange juice and a Blueberry muffin please?” The girl asked and I nodded.

  “I haven't seen you here before, what’s your name?” I asked, trying not to be too obvious.

  “My name is Hannah, this is the first time I've been here, I just moved here and I’m going to a new school.” Hannah replied and she seemed really nice, so far.

  “Really, so what school do you go to?” I asked, trying to get more information out of her. My last dream had come true, so it made me wonder if this one was going to as well.

  “I go to Wolf High. I know it's a weird name for a school, but today is my first day and I don't want to be late.” Hannah replied, taking out her purse.

  “Well, it's nice to meet you Hannah, this ones on me.” I said and she smiled from ear to ear.

  “Really? Thank you so much. Well, I have to get to school, see you around.” Hannah replied, I nodded and she waved goodbye as she walked out the shop. I waited until she was out of sight and then mind-linked Mercury.

  “Mercury, I had a dream last night about this girl outside her school and she was about to be shot, but then I woke up. Well, you're never going to believe this, but the girl from my dream has just come into the shop.” I said, mind-linking him.

  “You need to get someone to cover your shift and get to that school fast, you need to hurry. I’m two hours away, so i wont be able to get there on time.” Mercury replied and I quickly started calling around, until Daniel finally answered and said that he would come. Thankfully he only lived two minutes away from the coffee shop and he got here in no time. I quickly clocked out, knowing that Mack wouldn't mind and ran outside the shop. I hurried to the school that she went to, which was also my old school and it was twenty minutes away.

  “Goldie, Amber, I need your help, meet me at Wolf High, now.” I said, quickly mind-linking them.

  “We’re on our way.” They both replied and I shut the link off. I got to the school in no time at all and saw that all the kids were already inside, thankfully. After ten minutes Goldie and Amber arrived and we all stood there waiting to see what was going to happen. I didn't even know if it was going to happen today or if it was even going to happen at all for that matter, but I needed to be sure, I don't care if I had to camp out here all day if I had to. It seemed like we were waiting hours and the bell finally rang for the first break. Hannah came out of the school and the big black SUV pulled up, just like in my dream. The windows rolled down, the rifle came out and I ran as fast as I could to get to Hannah. I pushed her down just in time as the bullet flew past us and hit the wall behind us. Goldie ran over and grabbed the rifle out of the humans hands, ripping some of his skin off. The man screamed and screamed for the driver to take off, as Amber came and ripped the man's hand off. The big black SUV sped off down the road, but the sounds of the man screaming could still be heard. Goldie still had hold of the rifle, while Amber tossed the hand over her shoulder and ran over to us.

  “Are you both okay?” Amber and Goldie asked in unison, looking from Hannah to me, I nodded and turned my attention to Hannah.

  “Are you okay? That thing almost got you.” I said, picking Hannah up off the floor.

  “Hannah, are you okay?” I asked, shaking her out of the shock she was in.

  “Yes, I’m okay. I'm glad you were here. The hunters got my family months ago, I was pretending to be human, but I guess the spray I have been using wore off and they found me.” Hannah said, shocking me. I never would have guessed that she was a werewolf, I wonder if there was a special way to tell?

  “What do you mean hunters? Who’s hunting you, Hannah?” I asked, worried for her safety.

  “I don't know who’s hunting me, but I got away and now they are looking for me.” Hannah replied, still shook up and scared. I couldn't leave her on her own, she had no one else to help or protect her.

  “Come on, I'm taking you home with me. It's not safe for you here or anywhere for that matter, but we can protect you back at the pack house.” I said, taking her hand and leading her away. Goldie and Amber both nodded and followed behind us. It didn't take us long to get back to the pack house and Hannah seemed to relax a bit the more time she was with us. We walked up the drive to the pack house and straight through the front door to the living room.

  “You will stay here with us, our pack is heavily guarded by the best guards and no one will get by them without getting killed. Come on, I'll show you to your new room.” I said and Hannah nodded. I showed her to her room and left her to settle in while I came back downstairs. An hour went by and Mercury came bursting into the pack house running straight to me and hugging me tightly.

  “Are you okay? What happened?” Mercury asked and I sat him down on the nearest chair. I told him everything that had happened and when i was finished he pulled me onto his lap and buried his face in my neck, inhaling my scent. 

  “What are you doing? That tickles.” I said and he started laughing.

  “It's what wolves do, when we’re angry, upset or anything like that, we inhale the scent of our mate or hold them close and it calms us down.” Mercury replied, hugging me tightly.

  “I'm glad you're okay, we’ll find that son of a b***h and make him pay. Trust me we will find him.” Mercury said, softly kissing my neck and sending goosebumps all over my body.

  Hannah’s P.O.V

  I was laying on the bed when my phone started to vibrate and I knew exactly who it was. I answered it knowing that everyone would already be in their rooms and no one would hear me.

  “Did you get in?” Alpha Kent asked, not even bothering to say hello.

  “Yes Alpha Kent, I’m in.” I replied, getting straight to the point.

  “Good, good. Now we have proof that she is a seer, we had to get rid of the human who lost his hand, he was of no use to us after that.” Alpha Kent said, heartless as ever, but I didn't care.

  “Yes sir. He was close hitting me with that bullet, so if you hadn't killed him I would have. I'm glad you now have proof that she is a seer, but now what.” I replied, still pissed off about the whole thing and having to do this.

  “Don't worry, we have plans for that b***h. Just keep an eye out and keep me informed. I'll call you in a few days.” Alpha Kent said and hung up the phone. I put the phone in my back pocket and grabbed the remote, turning the TV on and started to watch a basketball game. I hope he can take over this place, it's a lot nicer than his pack house and the bed is comfier, I also had a feeling that the walls were sound proof as well, which was always a bonus.

  Mercury’s P.O.V

  As the night went on Cheyenne and I went back to our room and when I walked in I was surprised to see that she had moved all her stuff in here. I couldn't believe it and was smiling from ear to ear.

  “When did you do this?” I asked, turning to face her.

  “I asked the Omega’s if they would move the rest of my stuff in here while you were out on business and I was at work. I wanted it to be a surprise for when you got back home.” Cheyenne replied and I walked right up to her, grabbing her by the neck and pulling her into a kiss. I grabbed hold of her blouse, ripping it open as she took off the torn pieces and tossed them to the floor. I started kissing down her jaw and then her neck grabbing the front of her bra and yanking it off her. I kissed down her chest and sucked on each n****e, while she dug her nails into the back of my shirt and shredded it. God this woman turned me on.

  “Let’s officially make this room ours.” I said, pulling her jeans and panties off. I picked her up and carried her to the bed, laying her down.

  “I think you're a little overdressed.” Cheyenne said, looking at my trousers. I quickly took them off and got on the bed, lifting her legs up and putting them on either side of my shoulders. I leaned down and went to town on her, licking, sucking and fingering her. 

  “Mercury…..Mercury….Oh god….Mercury…” Cheyenne moaned, when I suddenly stopped and she pouted at me, wanting more.

  “Don't worry, babe. I'm not finished yet.” I said, getting on top of her and shoving my d**k into her. I got on my knees and lifted her ass up, spreading her legs further apart and thrusting deeper into her. Cheyenne’s breasts bounced as I pumped hard into her.   “Well, let's wait for another day and you can show me just how freaky you are.” Cheyenne said, as I slid my d**k out of her and lay next to her.

  “Oh, I'll show you alright. If you remember when you first got here, I told you I had other rooms.” I said, smirking and thinking about all the things I could do to her.

  “I am not wearing a f*****g ball gag in my mouth. There is no way in hell you will get me back in that room.” Cheyenne said, rolling her eyes and making me laugh.

  “Yeah, yeah, you already told me. I'll show you my other rooms in time. Come on, we need to get to sleep. I have paperwork tomorrow, so most of the day will be spent in my office. Trevor, Cody and Shark will be with me, we have to discuss our next move. A human Kingpin owes us almost a million to keep his boats and cars safe. He's human and his crew doesn't have a clue that he's been borrowing money, but he owes us it's been more than five years and not a single phone call, not a peep. It's time now and either he pays up or I’m taking everything that isn't bolted to the ground.” I said, as she rested her head on my chest.

  “So, if he has a daughter does that mean that you will take her as well?” Cheyenne asked and I knew she was referring to when I took her as payment.

  “No, I have all that I could ever want with you. When I first came to your house I smelled your scent, sunflowers and chocolate, I knew you were mine. As soon as I saw you I knew that you were mine, but i had to act like the mean guy, to prove a point.” I replied, kissing the top of her head. Cheyenne nodded her head as she cuddled up to me even more and was finally getting tired. I held her to my chest and started playing with her hair, until she fell asleep, I lay back when I felt her relax and let sleep take me
