Chapter 2 graduation then sold

Cheyenne’s P.O.V The next few days flew by, and graduation day was soon here. I was running behind due to not wanting to get out of bed, and when I looked at the clock, it was already eight in the morning, and graduation started at twelve noon. I needed to hurry, so I quickly got out of bed and ran into the bathroom, taking a quick shower. I got out, dried myself off, and went back into my room to blowdry my hair. I sat down to do my make-up and put my hair in a bun with a few tendrils of hanging down on my face. I put my green strapless dress on and shoes, then looked in the full-length mirror. “Not bad at all.” I said to myself, surprised by the finished look. I hurried downstairs, ready to meet Amber since she would be riding with me and my family today, but by the time Amber had gotten here, it was already ten in the morning. We had to hurry because we had to sign in to let them know that we were there. Amber looked beautiful in her dress, and she had her hair pulled into a french braid. We hurried over to the group to meet up with Cody, Star, Chevy, and a few others, but everyone was finally signed in just in time for it to start. The announcer started calling people's names, and Amber was the first to walk on and receive her diploma. My family and I screamed and whistled for her. After Amber, it was this girl called Julie, and then it was Cody, leaving me last. They called my name out, and I walked on stage just as my dad stood up and started clapping and cheering for me. “HELL YEAH! THAT'S MY DAUGHTER!!” My dad screamed out, making me smile. I received my diploma, shook hands with the headmaster, and then walked over to the podium to give my speech. “I know you are all wondering where we are going to go from here, I say who knows, but fall in love and fall in love hard. Don't go for a course you know you won’t like, and then just drop it, set a goal, and then set it higher, but most of all, be you. Congratulations, class of 2021, we are now graduates.” I said, smiling and taking my cap off, throwing it into the air. Everyone did the same, all of us yelling, cheering, clapping, and whistling in celebration. I walked off the stage and was immediately pulled into a tight hug by Amber and Cody. “That was awesome, Cheyenne.” Amber said, smiling brightly and then looking at Cody. “Listen, Cody and I are going out afterward. Do you wanna come with us?” Amber asked, and I tried to look like I was considering it instead of just flat out deciding not to. “Nah, I'm going to dinner with my mom and dad unless they decide to order pizza, but call me later tonight and let me know how the date went, okay.” I replied, and they both nodded. Cody took Amber’s hand, and they both left. I knew what Cody had planned for tonight. He was going to ask Amber to marry him, and there was no way I was going to get in the way of that. I walked over to my parents, and my dad hugged me straight away. “Congratulations sweetheart. You did it, and we are so proud of you.” My dad said, hugging me even tighter. “So what are your plans for tonight? Do you want to go home and order pizza, or do you want to go out and eat dinner?” My mom asked, hugging me. I thought about it for a while, but I already knew exactly what I wanted. “Pizza and a family date night, we eat pizza and watch a movie together.” I replied, and they both agreed. On the way home, mom ordered the pizza, and after about ten minutes of us being back, the pizza was delivered. I picked the movie, and before we had even reached the middle of it, mom and dad were sound asleep. They weren't always late people. I ate the last slice of pizza, finished watching the movie, and then went upstairs to my room. I got my pajamas on, and as soon as my head hit the pillow, I was out for the count and started dreaming. The whole night, I was having this really weird dream about wolves, I was in the woods with them, and I was running away from something, but I couldn't see what it was. There were trees all around me when suddenly something with red eyes came towards me, but a wolf jumped on its back and killed it. The wolf looked at me, and its body started to contort and twist, like it was changing into something else, and that's when I woke up, startled by my weird dream. I got out of bed and went over to the bathroom, splashing cold water on my face. “That was one hell of a crazy dream.” I mumbled to myself, walking back into my room. I looked at the clock, and it was already time for me to start getting ready for work. It was my turn to open the coffee shop up. I hurried to get dressed, grabbed my things, and went downstairs to my car, heading to work. I got to the shop and unlocked the doors, walked in and turned on all the machines, put the cream on ice, and made sure everything was ready. At twelve, the boss came into the shop to see how it was going, and I decided now was as good a time as any. “Hey Mack, when am I going to get that raise? I've been working here for three years now, and you said when I graduated, I'll get it, so it had better be a good one.” I said, and Mack started laughing. “Alright, I'm going to keep my word, don't want you going to some other coffee shop. How about a three dollar raise and assistant manager? Is that good enough for you.” Mack asked, and my eyes went wide with excitement. “Thank you, thank you, thank you. You won't regret this.” I replied and jumped up, hugging him tightly. I let him go and turned back to the counter to see that Braylan had come inside to take over. I told Braylan about the two tables that still needed to pay and then clocked out, heading back home. I drove past a few buildings and had to stop at a red light, but then I was home. I was so excited to tell mom and dad about the raise and my promotion, but when I got out of the car, there were a few strange cars in the driveway. This must be the company my mom told me about the other night. “Wow, fancy cars.” I said, eyeing them up. There was a Z28, a nice yellow Porsche, and the same Dodge that I saw pulling away last week. Dad must know some high up people, I thought to myself as I twirled my keys in my hand and walked into the house. “MOM, DAD, GUESS WHO GOT A RAISE AND A PROMOTION TODAY!” I yelled out as I walked to the living room, but stopped walking as soon as I reached the doorway. There standing by the fireplace, flicking a toothpick between his fingers was the most hottest guy I had ever seen, but something told me that he already knew he was good looking and I didn’t like vain guys. I walked past him and went straight to my mom, but she didn't say anything. “Cheyenne, honey, we need to talk.” My dad said, as my mother went and stood next to him and held her hand. I looked from my dad to my mother and to the goons that were standing in my living room, and something told me I wasn't going to like this talk. I sat down and looked up at them, waiting for them to talk. “Cheyenne, your father is in debt with this man, and he is unable to repay the money that he owes them, this man, Mercury, is taking you as full payment. I'm sorry, but it was either you or our heads, and I don't feel like dying today or tomorrow.” My mom said, and my mouth dropped open. My dad was in debt, and he was giving me to them as full payment. I sat there for a while in shock, but then I finally found my voice, and I was pissed off. Mercury’s P.O.V “What the hell, dad! So you borrowed money from this goon? How much are you in debt for? I have some money saved up from work. Maybe I can help?” Cheyenne said, and I didn't like being called a goon. “Over $500,000.” Aaron whispered, and Cheyenne’s eyes went so wide I thought they were going to pop out. “HOLY s**t DAD!” Cheyenne exclaimed, shocked. “Watch your mouth, young lady.” Katie warned her, and I could see that Cheyenne was pissed off now. I wonder how she will react? “SERIOUSLY! WATCH MY MOUTH! YOUR SELLING ME OFF, AND YOU HAVE THE NERVE TO TELL ME TO WATCH MY MOUTH! THE HELL WITH YOU.” Cheyenne shouted, and she was right. They had no right to tell her to do anything after this. “Give me ten minutes if you don't mind, I need to at least get my shit.” Cheyenne said, and I nodded. I couldn't keep my eyes off of her since she walked in. She was a feisty one, she seemed strong as well, and she would be a great first Luna. Cheyenne’s P.O.V Unbelievable! Absolutely f*****g unbeliveable! I went upstairs and grabbed a duffle bag, filled it with clothes and then went over to my window. I carefully opened it and jumped down with a thud. I started running as fast as I could down the street and towards the road, but one of his guys caught me and dragged me back to the house. I was punching and kicking him all the way back, but he didn't seem fazed by it and when we walked in through the door Mercury just chuckled. “Thank you, Trevor. You're a feisty one arent you? I like that.” Mercury said, still laughing. I rolled my eyes, elbowed Trevor in the ribs and stepped away from him. “YOU! YOU BASTARD! YOU’RE SELLING ME TO HIM?” I said, pointing at Mercury. “WHY COULDN'T YOU JUST GIVE HIM THAT PORSCHE OR THE HORSE IN THE BACK OR BETTER YET THIS DAMN HOUSE!?!!!” I shouted at dad, but he just stepped forward as if he was going to try and hug me. I pulled back from him and I was even more pissed off now. “NO! INSTEAD YOUR GIVING HIM ME! YOUR DAUGHTER! THANKS!” I shouted again and snatched my duffle bag from Trevor. “Follow me upstairs to my room so I can finish packing and get the hell out of here. Apparently this s**t is worth more than me.” I said, looking back at my parents and giving them an angry glare. I turned away from them and went upstairs to pack the rest of my stuff. I grabbed the rest of my clothes, my phone, laptop, tablet, jewellery, make-up and the money I had hidden. I had over $15,000 and I was saving it to get my own place, but looks like that won’t be happening anytime soon. I grabbed the money and shoved it in my purse, then turned around and faced Trevor, who was now holding most of my bags. “ I'm ready, let's go.” I said, he nodded and we walked back downstairs. I walked back in the living room and looked at my parents, who were just sitting there feeling sorry for themselves. Bastards. “And as for the two of you, don't contact me. Enjoy your wealth and cars while they last because I'll make damned sure that he won't give you another damn dime to help.” I said and turned on my heel, walking out of the house and slamming the screen door behind me. o
