~ Damon ~
When I woke up this morning, I got ready and went to the warehouse with my men. We were only there for about four hours.
After checking that all of my shipments were accounted for, we headed to my club. I took care of a bunch of paperwork in my office while the guys checked the club to make sure that everything was set for one busy ass night.
We stayed there for a couple of hours, busying ourselves before taking off. When we got home, I could smell all the food being made in the kitchen. The guys went their own ways to do who knows what while I made my way upstairs to my room to take a shower.
As I was standing in the shower, I started thinking about the night before.
* Flashback *
After I had gone back in the club, I walked straight to my office and looked through her folder to get her name.
Roxie Montez.
I sat in my chair and started thinking about her. She's definitely a beautiful woman... I can't lie about that. I could stare into her emerald green eyes for hours and never get bored. She looked even better in her black short skirt and crop top.
Then I remember what happened earlier and I put her folder away inside of my desk before getting up and walking out of my office in search of Kole. I spot him talking and flirting with some blonde woman in a booth.
I stop in front of them and point my thumb behind me as I tell the girl, "Get out of here."
She immediately stands up and walks away, leaving me alone with Kole.
"What the f**k did you do to that woman earlier?" I ask, putting both of my hands flat down on the table.
"I didn't do s**t to her. She was being a damn tease." He responds in a bored tone before taking a sip of his drink.
I pinch the bridge of my nose and tell him in a stern tone, "You aren't allowed anywhere near her again. If I do see you near her, I'll send your ass to the hospital."
He knows not to question me. The thought of him disrespecting her in any way upsets me for some reason. I believed her words when she told me what happened but I also know that Kole wouldn't take it too far.
The image of her flashes in my mind and I mentally groan. I can definitely see why he would be interested in her. Still, he had no right to keep messing with her after she already told him no.
* End Of Flashback *
I look down to see my d**k rock hard and throbbing. f**k, I was only thinking about her and I'm already hard. I wrap my hand around my d**k and start stroking, closing my eyes and imagining that it's her hand instead.
An hour later after I finish showering, I change my clothes for dinner and head downstairs to the dining room.
During the entire dinner, everyone present talked about different things. We laughed at old stories, joked with each other, and overall had a good time with family and friends. Well, with those who were here.
Once it was time for me to leave, I stood up from the table and thanked everyone who cooked the food. I said my goodbyes to those who were leaving for the night and made my way upstairs to get ready to go back to the club.
My chest tightened a little at the thought of going back to the club tonight. Why? I have no f*****g idea. I guess deep down I'm just hoping to see a certain someone.

The next morning, I woke up early to get ready for the day and cook breakfast.
As I was drinking my coffee in the kitchen, I heard Lily pull out a chair. I turn around and see her sitting down at the table, wearing her pajamas while she was holding Nico in her left arm and rubbing her sleepy eyes with her right hand.
"Good morning, mommy." She greets me with a yawn.
I smile and place a plate of breakfast in front of her, "Good morning, bubbles. Auntie Nessie is coming over later to spend thanksgiving with us."
Her sleepiness is immediately gone and her face shines with excitement, "Can I help you make the food, mama?"
I laugh a little and say, "Yes, bubbles. After you finish eating, you can help me cook. Then I'll take you a bath and get you ready."
She smiles widely and returns to eating her breakfast. I understand why she was so excited. From the time that she was born up until now, she's never experienced what a normal holiday should be like.
She's never had Thanksgiving dinner with her family. No turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, ham, rolls, mashed potato, gravy, or any other food that's made on thanksgiving.
She's never had a Christmas with people who love her. No Christmas tree, lights, presents, Christmas dinner, stockings, gingerbread houses, or even a candy cane.
We have both lived with a terrible past but the holidays were the worst. We never celebrated because I didn't want her to remember the horrible events which happened on the days that were supposed to be the best days ever.
I explained to Lily about the holidays after we settled in. Since we were away from him, I wanted her to experience what these holidays should be like.
Hours pass and it's five o'clock pm now. Lily and I finished cooking our thanksgiving dinner and are currently watching Charlie Brown. The sound of knocking reaches my ears and I get up to answer the door.
I'm greeted with a smiling Vanessa, "Happy Thanksgiving!"
She wraps me in a tight hug and I reply while hugging her back, "Hey, Nessa."
"I brought wine." She says as she waves it around in the air with a grin on her face.
I laugh and snatch the bottle from her hand, "You do remember that we work tonight, right?"
She smacks her lips and says, "Yes, yes... it's not like we're going to drink the whole bottle. We're just going to have a little bit."
"Auntie Nessie!!" Lily yells while jumping off from the couch and running towards Ness.
"Hey, Lil's. I missed you, sweetie." Ness responds as she picks her up and spins her around.
"I missed you, too. I helped mommy cook the food." Lily proudly tells her while pointing her thumb to her chest.
"Oh, yeah? Does it taste as good as it smells?" Nessa asks while softly pinching Lily's cheeks.
Lily giggles and says, "No, it tastes even better."
They both sit down at the table while I serve them their plates. Lily is seated in between me and Nessa.
"So, Rox. What exactly happened last night before you left?" Ness asks me while drinking a sip of her wine.
"Oh, I finally met the owner of the club." I reply before taking a bite of my food.
She raises her eyebrow and looks at me with a weird expression, "Seriously? You met Damon?"
"Yeah, I mean... I didn't know that was his name but sure." I shrug my shoulder and continue eating.
Ness gently places her wine down and c***s her head at me, "Tall, lots of tattoos, fine body, and sexy as fu-"
"Auntie Nessie!" Lily cuts her off before she could finish her sentence. "You were about to say a bad word."
We both laugh and I shake my head while smiling lightly, "Yes, Ness. That's him."
"So what happened last night?" She questions me after swallowing her food.
"Well, this guy wouldn't leave me alone so I smashed a beer bottle on his head and he started yelling. The next thing I know, I bump into someone's chest. When I turned around, Damon was standing there." I tell her the events of last night, mentally rolling my eyes at the memory. "He basically assumed that it was my fault. Then when I left, he followed me outside and kind of..."
"Kind of what?" She asks me when I trail off, leaning closer as if I'm about to tell her some top-secret information.
"Flirted with me, I guess?" I respond, more in the form of a question.
She just stares at me for about ten seconds before she clears her throat and asks, "How exactly did he flirt with you?"
"I'd rather not go into the details." I tell her while glancing at Lily for a split second, then back at Ness. She also looks at Lily who seems to be enjoying her food a lot.
"So, Lil's. How have you been doing the past couple of days?" Ness asks her, changing the subject which I'm glad for because I really didn't want Lily asking questions about any man right now.
We spent the rest of our evening eating, talking, playing board games, and watching television. After Lily said goodnight to Ness, I put her to sleep and we both got ready for work before Rose came over.
About two hours later, Ness and I are standing at the bar talking to Lucky. I suddenly have this feeling like someone is watching me. My eyes scan the crowd until I spot Damon standing in a dark corner with a drink in his hand.
Damn, he looks good.
His eyes are on me and he's watching me like a hungry lion would watch his prey. Ready to pounce the moment his prey made any sign of running away. I turn around and Lucky hands me a tray with four drinks.
"Table five." He says before getting another set of glasses and making more drinks.
I hold the tray carefully with both hands and make my way to table five. It's a little difficult to make my way back to the bar. After all... it's really crowded tonight.
Squeezing through all of the people, I finally make it to a space that was not so crowded. I take a deep breath in and start walking again but that was cut short when I bump into someone and lose my balance.
I feel a pair of arms wrap around my waist as I drop the empty tray. I quickly wrap my own arms around the person's neck to steady myself so I wouldn't fall. I realize who it is that caught me right away when his familiar scent invades my nose.
His body feels amazing against mine. I feel safe and protected in his arms. I honestly never want him to let me go. He moves his head back a little bit to look at my face.
"You should be more careful, il mio amore. If it was anyone else who caught you, I would've had to break their hands for touching you." He says in a low and deep voice.
I look at his mouth and unconsciously bite my lower lip. I kind of want to taste his lips. They look so soft. What is it about this man? I've only met him once... twice if we're counting today.
His eyes glance at my bottom lip that's between my teeth and he gently grabs my chin before tilting my head up a little bit. He then releases my lip from my teeth with his thumb.
Damon leans his head down to mine. I slightly part my mouth and he stops just as his lips were about an inch from touching mine.
"Don't test my patience, amore. I'm trying hard to control myself for you but I won't hesitate to throw you over my shoulder and take your gorgeous ass in my office." He says with a serious tone.
I sigh and clear my throat so that my voice doesn't sound high when I speak, "I should get back to work, boss."
I release myself from his hold, pick up the tray that I dropped and turn around before making my way back to the bar. I feel his eyes on me the entire time as I walk away.
I should stay away from him. He seems like trouble and my brain is telling me to run the other way. Although, how long could I stay away from him when he's my boss?
