Chapter 7 They were a success. Elizabeth couldn’t believe her eyes. She’d waited in her office for more than an hour after opening, afraid of being disappointed. When noise crept past her door, she needed to investigate. She walked toward the front of the bar and stared at a crowd. Not a few people standing around, but an actual crowd. Tables and stools were filled. Waitresses delivered trays full of drinks. She couldn’t believe it. It was only their first night.
