CHAPTER 3

JANE'S POV

After signing the contract, Jack's assistant took me to a luxurious clothing store. I was wowed because I'd never been to a*****e like this before.

I was excited because the clothes there were luxurious and expensive, I looked at my worn-out shoes and faded clothes, and I couldn't even compare. After buying the shoes and dresses. I got my makeup done, I looked so beautiful.

I was driven to his House to meet his dad. I was nervous. I became lost in thought in the car, what if I'm making a Wrong decision? What if his father doesn't like me?

We finally arrived at the mansion, and it was a stunning sight to behold, with its sweeping staircase, luxury interior and exterior, gigantic chandeliers, large rooms, lavish decorations and so on.

I went in and sat in the dining area, which was decorated with beautiful food, expensive wines, and so on. Jack came to me and told Me His father Mr Colt Williams was on his way to the dining area. His father got there And I stood up to greet him.

“Good evening sir” I said with a big smile

“My name is Jane Brown” I replied with a shaky voice

“I bless this union, and I hope it lasts long; welcome to the family”, he said, and he stood up.

“Thank you”, I replied, and I breathed a sigh of relief.

As Jack escorted me out of his home, I caught a glimpse of a tall glass of chocolate. He was so handsome that I couldn't keep my eyes off him.

We had eye contact for a brief moment, and I felt a flutter in my heart.

Jack noticed I was drooling over him, and I had to just look away; he told me that he was his cousin Ethan, and they stayed together. Jack ordered his driver to take me home and he said the contract would be ready the next day.

The car ride home was filled with thoughts of Ethan and I couldn't help but blush.

Since that day, I started living big; I was getting invited To big events for Rich people, and I was going with him to some meetings with investors and Big men.

I was getting clothed in designer dresses and shoes. I was living my life to the fullest. I was glowing, eating whatever I wanted and just happy.

I decided to visit my parents and grandmother's grave.

I went there with a heavy heart, I said to them in tears and agony that I was getting married, even if it wasn't to the man I love, it was a big day I'd always wish they'd witness. It was so sad that no family would Witness the big wedding. I dropped the flower I got for them and left because I was so down and couldn't stop crying. I just wish I could bring them to life

I was at Jack's house waiting for him to get dressed so that we can Go for the meeting he has. I suddenly heard him scream, I rushed down to his room to see what was going On.

Apparently, he wanted to get a new artiste to join Marvel record label but the artist refused.

“What's wrong?” I asked walking towards him with so Much concern.

When I got so close to Him, he pushed me so hard that I hit my nose on the sharp edge Of a table in his room.

“GET OUT” he commanded in a harsh tone

I started bleeding so much that I had to rush out of his room.

I was looking for a cloth to put on my nose to reduce the pressure of the Blood when Ethan saw me and came to me.

“Oh my God, what happened? Why are you bleeding? Did Jack do anything to you?” He qeuired While holding one of my hands, walking me towards his room.

“He pushed me” I replied with a shaky voice, you could tell I was scared, I was bleeding so much.

“That's physco!” He muttered with annoyance.

He sat me on the edge of his bed and brought put a first aid box, and applied alcohol to kill possible infections, then put a bandaid on it

The bleeding Reduced,

“Thank You” I said while looking straight into his eyes.

He's handsome and caring unlike Jack

I had to look away before he noticed the red blush on my cheeks.

“You need to go to the hospital, I'll drive you there” he said with pity.

“ you don't have to worry About me, I'll be fine” I replied

The awkward silence In The room became so loud that you could hear an ant scream.

“Why did someone as beautiful as you agree to marry Jack?” He broke The silence.

He wasn't aware it was a contract marriage.

I smiled and replied saying “It is what it is” because I really had nothing to reply him with.

Jack's Assistant came in to inform me that we are leaving for the meeting.

I said goodbye to Ethan and thanked him

The car ride With Jack was so silent, the silence was deafening.

I was shocked that he didn't even try to apologize for what he did.

I was also wondering what kind of psycho he is, and if he's going to do more than that after the marriage.
