Chapter 17

Victor

As I watched Min Skatt walk away with Xander I could feel the rage and contempt build within me.

Why would she be with him?

Why does she want him and not me?

These questions run on an endless loop in my mind. Swiftly I drop from the tree branch landing with a heavy thud. Starting back towards my territory I let my shield fall so those filthy mutts can sense me.

As I near the boarder I hear the loud thudding of paws approach me. When they are close enough I jump into the trees waiting for them to circle the area I just was. I watch as 10 wolves begin to search for me.

Watching them sniff and wonder were I went was slightly amusing. Until one lifted his snout upwards and made eye contact with me. Before they even knew they were being attacked I leaped from the trees and severed two wolves head.

Playing with these pups is fun I dodge and evade all their attacks. Letting out a deep chuckle at the pup that tried to bite my left leg, I pull my leg back and push it forward with all my strength into his stomach sending him flying towards another tree.

The other wolves look at me slightly afraid I can feel it rolling off them. But they don't stop attacking in spite of their fear. The prideful bastards. Just as another one leaps for me with his teeth bared, I smell her.

I slap away the wolf mid air, turning around I see my sweet min Skatt. She's beautiful in her wolf form. Her fur looked like spilled ink, making the crescent moon on her forehead stand out. So focused on her I didn't notice that she brought along her little pets.

Noticing one standing closer to her than the rest my face pulls in to a sneer.

She steps away and shifts back into her human for walking out in a shirt and basketball shorts. I rake my eyes up and down her body taking in her beauty. Until I hear a deathly growl coming from none other than Xander.

She places her hand on his side making him visible relax. They stare at each other having a silent conversation.

"What do you want?" She says still look at Xander

"You." I say simply.

Snapping her head towards me she finally studies me. She looks as if I'm a frightening monster which I am. Taking a step back Xander step in front of her in a protective stance.

He bares his teeth at me in a threatening manner. I look him up and down not seeing any weaknesses but Min Skatt.

"Calm down mutt. I don't want her now but soon I will. She is mine." I say staring him down.

This apparently angered every wolf around me. They all took a predatory step forward baring their teeth at me.

"You will not have me. I am not your and never will be yours." she says in defiance.

"Oh, that is where you are wrong my treasure. You are mine. You will either come to me willingly or I will take you by force. Do you understand?" I see her visible tense up from my statement.

"But it not time yet. I'll be back when the time is right." I say smirking at her.

Without another word I jump over the wolves behind me and sprint towards their border. When I make it to the boarder I use all my strength and speed to run towards my home.

30 minutes later.

I burst thru the front doors of my castle everyone stilled afraid of what I would do or say. When they were finally over the shock of me entering they scurried away like the vermin.

"Alfvin!" I screamed at the top of my lungs knowing he heard me.

A minute later he comes running down the stairs and says "Yes, my king."

"We need to talk follow me to my office." I say walking towards my office.

After we enter he give me time to take my seat behind my desk.

"What is it that we need to talk about my king?" He asks nervously.

I study him for a minute before I brush it off as him scared he would insure my wrath.

"We need to move up our plans."

"What do you mean move up our plans?"

"What do you not understand? We need to move up our plans now. I want my queen with me before the next blood moon." I say coldly.

"Yes, my king. But the blood moon is in 3 months. How do you suggest we advance?" He asks.

I thought about it for a moment before I got the brilliant idea of recruiting the rouges. They hate the king and order, while the king hates them.

I look back at Alfvin as if he could read my mind he gulps knowing I will do anything to get what I desire.

"Get me the leader of the rouges." I say in a deathly tone.

He bows and exits my office. I think about how I'm going to use them to my advantage.

When I exit Victors office I know I must tell Alpha Dominic right away. Running down stairs I look for Brutus. Of course I find him in the kitchen eating again.

"Brutus." I say forcing him to look up from his meal. "I'm going out. I need to find the rouge leader."

Understanding my hidden meaning of 'I'm going out' he simply nods his head and sets the redhead down.

"Do you need any help?" He asks walking towards me.

Sensing someone else is near trying to listen in on our conversation I say "No, but I do have another job for you." motioning him to come closer.

"Find out who our little friend is and who they work for." I say low enough that only he can hear me.

He nods his head and exits the kitchen in search of our little rat. I swiftly walk out the kitchen through the front doors. When I am outside the castle I use my vampire speed running towards wolf territory. Making sure no one is following me I zip thru the trees.

As I approach Alpha Dominic's land I notice that the patrols have been increased. Masking my scent so they don't know I'm a vampire I stop just shy of the border. One of the patrolmen notice me. Sensing I'm not human they go behind a tree and shift. When they come out they ask "Who are you and what do you want?"

"My name is Alfvin and I'm here to see your Alpha." The patrolmen looks like he's mind linking someone.

"Alright follow me." He says but I walk right past him already knowing the way.

The boy follows me till I get to the castle where Marcus waits for me outside. Marcus motions for the boy to go back to his patrols. The boy bows his head before he sprints back into the woods.

"What do we owe this pleasure Alfvin?" He asks motioning me to follow him upstairs.

"I must discuss this with Alpha Dominic, you and Beatrix." I say before we enter the office.

Looking off into no where he says "I just told Beatrix and Xander to come to the office."

I look at him for a minute and ask "Who's Xander?"

"My son and Beatrix's mate." Dominic says when he enters.

Thinking back to how Victor was acting it all makes sense now. I'm pulled from my thoughts when Beatrix and another man walks in. Realizing that this but be Xander.

"Hello my queen." I say bowing to her.

"Hello Alfvin. You don't need to keep calling me that just call me Beatrix or Bea." she says with a small smile.

Looking back up I see that Xander is studying Beatrix's and mine's interaction.

"Come sit down you two." Dominic says gesturing towards the couch.

"What is so important that you had to talk to all of us." Xander says.

I study him for a minute seeing if I could trust him with our secret. Beatrix notices my apprehension and places her had on my shoulder causing Xander to growl at the gesture of comfort.

"You can trust him Alfvin. Now what is it that we need to discuss?" She asks pulling her hand away.

"Victor wants yo before the blood moon." she looks at me in confusion for a second before realization crosses her features.

Everyone looks at Beatrix's face of horror and sadness. Xander pulls her into his side trying to comfort her.

"What does that mean the blood moon?" Xander asks worry lacing his voice.

"It is a holy night among Vampires. It's the only night that a vampire can turn another vampire." I say

"But I thought you guys can turn anyone when ever you want." Xander says.

"We can but the difference is that when your turned on the night of the blood moon you become a pureblood. Meaning your one of the most powerful vampires alive. And only other purebloods can make other purebloods. So Victor wants to take Beatrix so he can turn her into a Pureblood vampire. But since she is a hybrid she will keep her wolf and witch side as well as gaining vampire quality's. This all means that she will be turned into one of the most powerful supernatural creatures to ever exist. Victor wants her so she can bare his children. He wants to use her so he can have the most powerful warriors known to our kind. He's asked me to find the leader of the rouges."

When I look from Xander to Beatrix I see fear swimming in her eyes. The fear is so evident it makes the air around her thick and hard to breath. Xander notices this and says "No, one and I mean no one is going to take you from me. I promise I would die before he got his hands on you." Xander kisses the top of her head as she clings to him for dear life.

"Do you have any idea on why he wants the rouges?" Dominic asks speaking up for the first time since Beatrix walked in.

"I have no idea what he could want them for but when I do you'll be the first to know."

"I know what he wants them for." Beatrix says in a fearful voice.

I look at her waiting for her to continue. She takes a deep breath and says "He's going to use them to attack us. And when we're to busy defending ourselves from the rouges and vampires he plans on swooping in and taking me."

When Beatrix says this I start to devise a plan in my head to help defend against victor.

"Would it be possible to get rouges to join a pack?" I ask

"Yes its very possible but the thing is you have to find the ones that want to join a pack." Marcus says.

Nodding my head I think of ways to find rouges that want to join packs. When the idea hits me. I look towards Beatrix and ask "Your clairvoyant right?"

"Yes I am." She says with her head still buried in Xander's chest.

"Then that's it." "What's it?" Beatrix asks.

"You can use your clairvoyance to see if the would join your pack. And see how that would effect the pack." I say

"But how do I do that on such a large scale?" she asks

"I have an old friend she can help you with the spell that you need. Her name is Brenda."

"Brenda?" Beatrix asks snapping her head to look at me in the eye.

"Yes her name is Brenda. Have you met her before?" I ask

"I think so." I look at her to try and decipher what she meant. I take a look through the window and notice that the sun is starting to set.

Standing from my seat I say "I must be off. The sun is setting and I still need to talk to Brenda and find the rouge leader so Victor doesn't get suspicious.

They all nod their head in agreement and stand to escort me out. But Beatrix is the first one at my side leading me back down the stairs I came up earlier. When we all reach the door she says "Thank you Alfvin. Without you we would be lost and slaughtered by victor when he comes for me."

With that I bow to her and bid her adieu. The others nod their heads in their form of goodbye.

When I stepped thru the front doors of the castle I speed towards the boarder in search of the rouge leader.

What Alfvin didn't know that there was a traitor within the walls of the Alpha's kingdom just waiting for their moment to strike.
