Chapter 19

Beatrix

After I left Dominic's office head downstairs to get something to eat. When I walk in the kitchen I see Eden at the stove making dinner, and Owen at the counter snacking on some chips. Curious as to what Eden Is making I slowly creep up behind to her to get a glimpse but she's to quick for me and covers what she's making.

Spinning around she points her wooden spoon at me and asks "What do you think you're doing Beatrix Willow?"

"Nothing Eden just curious what for dinner." I say placing my hands up in surrender.

"Well your not getting near my cooking. I still remember what happened last time I let you in this kitchen to cook." She says in a scolding manner.

"Oh my god, Eden it was one time. And I didn't even have the spell down yet. I was just trying to help. I didn't mean to turn the chicken into a octopus." I hear Owen snicker behind me.

Snapping my head in his direction he gulps and says "Uh oh." He drops the chips on the counter and sprints from the room. I take off after him, I hear Eden laughing at our foolishness. Wanting to play with him for a bit I chase him around the castle letting him think he has a chance.

Owen slips into a room and locks the door. Without a second thought I teleport myself right behind him and yell "BOO" making him scream.

I fall to the ground laughing at him. Calming down enough I say "You scream like a girl."

"I do not." he yells back. "Do to." we continue on with this back and forth till he messes up and says he does.

"Ha, see I told you that scream like a girl." I said laughing.

When we finally calmed down from our laughing fit we hear Eden yell "Dinners ready!"

We look at each other for a second before we start running for the door. When we finally get the door open we try to push each other out of the way to get downstairs. As were running down the hall Owen steps slightly in front of me blocking my path.

I try pushing past him but he doesn't budge from his spot. Noticing that he's slightly smirking at me, I drop and swipe his legs out from under him. When I see him begin to fall I jump up and over him continuing on my run downstairs.

As I enter the dinning room I see everyone already seated and being served. Running over to my seat next to Xander I shoot him a small smile before he asks "What was that loud thud I heard before you came downstairs?"

"I have no idea what your talking about." I say just as Owen walks in.

Xander looks from him to me suspiciously. Dakota and Xavier bust out laughing knowing what happened.

"You got in her way, didn't you?" Asks Derrick.

"Yes, I did." Owen says shooting me a playful glare.

"Bad move. Never get in the way when it comes to Eden's cooking and Beatrix." Dakota says when he finally calms down enough.

Xander just looks at me like I'm crazy. Looking at him I say "What? Her food is the best in the world."

Xander just shakes his head at me before he asks "So are you going to tell me how you took down my Beta?"

"Oh that yeah. Well he stepped in front of me and I tried to push around him but he wouldn't move so I kicked his legs out from underneath him." I say taking a bite of a roll.

Xander and everyone except Owen bursts out laughing. But what gets me is what Xander says.

"You got beat up by a girl." I look at him in shock while everyone else looks as if he just made the worlds biggest mistake.

When he notices everyone else he looks back at me and asks "What?"

"Is there something wrong with being a girl?" I ask.

"No baby that's not how I meant it. I promise." He says slightly afraid of what I'll do.

"Alright if that how it is, then how about you fight me and see if you can win against a girl."

He looks at me as if I've grown three heads and says "Baby, I'm not going to fight you. What if I hurt you?" Realizing to late that was the wrong thing to say.

"Oh darling you could never land a punch even if you tried." She says trying to get a rise out of me.

Everyone watches our interaction waiting for what he'll say next. Realizing that this wont be settled easily he say "Alright, if you want to try we can. But I want something if I win."

I look at him for a moment before asking "What do you want?"

A sly smirk crosses his face and says "I want you to move into my room."

I slowly search his eyes to see if there is an hidden meaning, when I see there isn't one I say "Fine but if I win I want something."

"And what is that my love?" He ask.

"I haven't decided yet lets put it as you do a favor for me at a later date and no complaining." I say with a stern look.

I extend my hand for him to shake, when he grabs my hand he says "Deal, my love." After that we all go back to our meal in peace. Slowly conversation fills the dinning room.

Xander and I finish our meals and tell everyone good night knowing we have our little wager tomorrow morning.

As I walk towards my room with Xander, he place his hand on my back spinning me around so I'm pressed against his chest. Before I have a chance to say anything hi lips are pressed against mine in a passionate kiss. The kiss ended just as quickly as it began leaving me wanting more.

Xander pulls back and says "Good night my love. Oh and good luck tomorrow you might need it." With one more kiss he turns away from me and heads towards his room.

Did I just hear him right? I ask Ashton

Oh, yes you did. Lets kick his butt tomorrow. I don't care if he's our mate or not. Ashton says slightly agitated.

Don't worry we will. And he wont even expect it coming. I say to ash before I cut our link to get ready for bed. When I'm finished I climb into my bed and slowly drift off to sleep.

Next morning.

I wake up before my alarm goes off. Running towards my closet I pull out a pair of black spandex shorts, a red sports bra and my red Nikes. Hastily I strip out of my pajamas and pull on my training gear.

Leaving my room knowing that Xander shouldn't be up for a little longer. I walk towards his room when I'm outside his door, I bang on the door till he rips it open. He looked ready to kill someone till he saw it was me. His features softened and asked "Beatrix, what are you doing up this early?"

"I'm up for training and if you want to complete our little wager than you need to come along and train."

"But its like 5:30." "Actually it 4:30." I say adding an extra sway to my hips as I walk away knowing he's staring at my butt.

When I reach down stairs I head outside and see all my trainees gathered around in a large group like usual.

"Alright listen up." I say gaining their attention "Your future Alpha Xander will be joining us with our training this morning." Just as I finish Xander exits the castle pulling a shirt on.

I couldn't help but bite my lip at the sight of him shirtless. Xander lets out a small laugh "See something you like my love?"

Snapping back to reality I look at all my trainees around me watching me drool over Xander. My face flames red "What are you looking at we have a run to do. Get moving." I say pulling the attention away from me.

After the run we all approach the training field and begin to circle up. One of my trainees steps forwards and says "I think I can take you now."

"Oh do you now?" I ask in a teasing manner. Before the trainee can step forward and challenge me Xander lets out a small growl.

I shoot a glare at Xander and say "Okay Xander if you think you can beat me then how about you step up."

"Gladly." He says glaring at the boy from before.

I notice that my father, Dominic, Marcus, Derrick, Dakota, Xavier and Owen are walking towards us. Sensing my confusion Owen speaks up and says "I'm not going to miss my best friend get the s**t beat out of him by his mate."

At the mention of Xander's mate all the men begin to whisper about me being their Luna. I simply shake my head at his childishness. Then an idea hits me and I look towards my father.

"Oh dad I need you to do something so its fair." He looks towards me knowing what I meant.

Walking up to me he raises his hand over my head and chants his incantation to take away my powers. Looking back towards Xander is see he looks like a confused puppy.

"He locked my witch powers so I cant use them during our fight." Xander just nods his head in understanding.

Dakota steps forwards and says "This is a clean match. Meaning no hair pulling, eye gouging or hits below the belt." Looking at us both making sure we heard him. When he sees us nod in understanding he steps back into the crowd.

Xander and I begin to circle each other looking for weaknesses. I notice that he either doesn't have any or he masks them well. I was the fist one to attack. I lunged and swung at him with a right hook. Xander dodges me strike. This goes on for sometime till I get a hang of how he moves before he swings or dodges my attacks.

He looks at me with a small smirk and says "It that all you got my love?"

"Oh darling, I haven't even shown you what I've got yet." He motions or me to attack again.

Expecting me throw a right hook I throw my right leg into a roundhouse kick. Effectively kicking him in the side knocking him off balance. Before he had a chance to regain his footing I swipe is legs out from under him making him land with a loud thud. He struggled to catch his breath, taking this chance I straddle him and throw a few punches to his mid section.

Instead of stopping my barrage of punches he placed his hand on my thighs applying slight pressure. Making me falter for just a second, giving him just enough time to switch our positons and pin me beneath him.

"Looks like I've one my love." he says.

"Its not over till I tap out. And that wasn't fair." "You never said I couldn't use the mate bond against you." he says with a smirk.

Realizing that we never forbid it an idea pops in my head. If that's the way he wants to play then lets play.

I extend my neck upwards till my lips are brushing against his ear and say "If that's how you wish to play then let the games begin." This causes him to groan and loosen is hold on my hands.

Pulling my hands from his grip I place them on his chest and put my feet on his hips pushing with as much force I can muster. I send him flying off me, quickly I jump up in to attack stance and advance towards Xander. As he shakes off the flight I just sent him on he focuses back on me and lowers himself into attack stance.

We circle each other again before he pulls off his t-shirt showing off his abs. I shoot him a playful glare to which he says "What its hot my love."

Looking towards him trying to ignore the dirty images that Ash is filling my mind with. I motion for him to approach me. As he steps forward he gets a whiff of my arousal. Causing him to close his eyes for the fraction of a section. When I step forward to attack his eye fly open and he tries to catch my left hook. But before he can I pull it back into me. Xander takes another step forward trying to grab me but I step out of his reach at the last moment.

Just as I'm about to dodge him again he catches me wrist spinning me around and pinning my back to his chest. His left arm was over my chest while his right arm rounded my waist. Using this to my advantage I place my hand on his thigh and slowly drag it up causing him to lose focus. I drop to the ground sliding out of his hold, sliding back under his legs I kick him behind the knee forcing him to the ground. With in a second I have his arms pinned behind him and my foot placed in the middle of his back.

I applied slight pressure till Xander yelled "Alright I give! You win!" Letting go I hear everyone around me cheer for my victory.

"Now, what did everyone learn from this match?" I ask everyone around me.

"That your a badass." one of the trainees says.

I shake my head at him and I face everyone and say "Yes, I am a badass but that wasn't the lesson. The lesson was even if the fight is with your mate you can out wit them. If the opponent is stronger than you there is always a way to win and get the advantage. In this case it was using the mate bond against my opponent." Looking back at Xander I see pride in his eyes as he looks at me.

Walking over to him I ask "Are you alright?" "Yes my love. I'm perfectly fine."

I turn towards everyone and yell "Partner up! Your burning daylight!" Everyone scrambles to get a partner.

Walking towards my father I ask him for my powers back to which he obliges. The rest of training went smoothly. But I got this feeling that someone was watching me, I just couldn't tell where from.
