I spent all of Friday in bed, drinking energy drinks and eating all the leftovers I could find in the fridge. I had been hiding from my boss, not answering his calls and ignoring the laptop. But once the shock passed and I had processed everything that had happened in the office, I decided the best thing to do was move forward. I couldn’t stay stuck, fantastic o****m or not.
I turned on my laptop, mostly to catch up on work—and, who am I kidding, to see if he had written to me again. I found about twenty messages from my boss, with the latest ones all titled: **EMERGENCY TRIP**.
