Adam woke first, he went into the kitchen and got the coffee going and they poured a glass of orange juice for Kenzie. Then he went back into the bedroom to wake her to get her into the shower, then he laid both their clothes out. Kenzie went into the kitchen and pour Adam’s coffee and drank her juice. She figured they could have breakfast with everyone at the café since they would be meeting everyone there soon. Once Adam was ready he grabbed his coffee and they head to the car and left for the café.
Once they pulled up at the café Kenzie just felt something was off. “Adam something is not right here. I can feel that something is wrong.” Kenzie said with worry in her voice. “You need to stay in the car while I go check things out.” Adam responded “NO, I am not. I am going with you this is my place and I will not let anyone try and take it from me.” Shouted Kenzie. Adam just looked at her and then shock his head and they both got out of the car. Has they got out and started walking towards the café, Kenzie got a feeling that they were being watched. Then out of no where something came flying at them and landed right in front of them. Adam jumped in front of Kenzie to protect her. The thing started to stand up. When it was done they realized it was another shifter of the Haiti group. Adam was shocked because they usually don’t leave their territory unless a friend or family member is in trouble.
“Hello, who are you?” Adam addressed him
“Hello, I am known as Plato. I have come as a friend to help.” Plato announced
“Help who?” Adam wondered
“To help Queen Kenzie of coarse.” Plato said like that was a dumb question
“I’m not queen, I’m just me.” Kenzie said in a whisper
“How did you here about Kenzie and why did you call her queen?” Adam asked him
“Wait don’t answer that just yet. Let’s get inside and talk in there, I still feel like we are being watched.” Kenzie said as she walked towards the café.
They followed Kenzie into the café and they all took a sit at one of the big booths and talked while waiting for the others to show up. So, Kenzie looked at Plato and was studying him and was wondering why he thought she was a queen.
“Plato, please explain to me why you called me a queen and how you heard about me please.” Kenzie asked in a shy voice.
“Well I seer seen that I would be connected to our next queen when she was found. Then she came to me and told me the queen was found but in trouble. So, I came as soon as she could tell me where to find you.” Plato stated
“Wait, what do you meant connected?” Adam said
“I’m not sure how I am connected to her yet. I just know that I am.” Plato said as a matter of fact. Then they heard a knock at the door. Kenzie got up to look to see who it was and seen Sam and the rest of them outside waiting to get in a long with some of the regular customers.
Kenzie said Hello to everyone and went to the kitchen to get stuff started for the café. Shasha and the others started helping her, so they could have some things going for when everyone started coming him. Plus, they all wanted to be able to talk and get things planed out.
When Dusty and Scott walked in and seen who was sitting with Adam at the table they almost ran into each other. Neither one could believe that a Haiti shifter was sitting here instead of staying in his territory. They had to find out why he came, if he is here then it must be a good reason for him to leave his territory.
“Good Morning Dusty and Scott. I would like you to meet Plato.” Adam introduced Plato to Kenzie’s grandfathers.
“Good Morning Adam, it’s nice to meet you Plato. Can we ask what has brought you here?” Both men asked at the same time.
“Just like I was telling Adam, I’m connected to Kenzie somehow. I don’t know how that I am connected but I just am.” Plato explained again to the two men
“Then See Adam you may not be Kenzie’s true mate or at least not her only mate.” Dusty was says again
“What Dusty is saying is true but is not the only answer. Plato here can be her guardian and advisor. Which means he will protect with his life and help guide her.” Scott said to them all
Kenzie walked out of the kitchen to here Dusty trying again about Adam may not be hers. She new he was with everything in her. She didn’t feel the pull towards Plato like that but more like a brother. She was going to put a stop to this once and for all.
“That is enough. I will not stand by and listen to you say one more thing about Adam not being mine. He is mine and I can feel that is in me. Does everyone understand me on this? If so, then let’s get started on the problem at hand.” Kenzie said to each and everyone of them in the room.
No one said anything about how Kenzie just took control over the whole room. How they felt her power and wanted to roll up in a ball. Everyone knew if they said anything about how much power she used, and it was hurting them that she would have felt bad. She never wanted to hurt her friends or loved ones.
They all started talking about what needed to get done and who needed to do what

6. Getting someone to help with the Café
Now that they have the list made they just needed to figure out who was going to do what. Kenzie made everyone take a break, so she and a few others could get ready for the lunch crowed that would be coming in soon. They went and took a break while the others went to help Kenzie in the kitchen. Kenzie went to her office and when she walked into her Office she let out a loud scream. Plato and Adam were the first ones to her, then the rest followed. They all seen the message that was left all over the office walls. Everyone knew that if they kept by Kenzie she was going to come after everyone and they would be ready for her.
Kenzie knew now that she had to make sure no one got hurt because of her. She is going to find help and she is going to face her Aunt. She would not let everyone down. She was going to save her people even if she had no idea how to do. They needed to hurry and get this done so everyone can get moving so they could be ready for the war that was coming at them head on.
Adam got everyone to go back to the table, so they can finish up the last bit of details they had left to do. Once everyone was seated they started talk about who was doing what.
Sami, Trent, Jake and Katie are going to go one way to find alliances
Conner, Sam, Kat and Alex are going to go another way to find Alliances
Scott and Dusty are going to go talk with the Royal Council
Plato is going to go and check on finding a trainer for Kenzie’s power
Shasha and Dylan is going to help with the café
Adam isn’t going to leave Kenzie’s side
Now they had everyone doing something to help their cause they all said they would leave in the morning. As things started to settle down for the evening everyone went to do their own things for a little while and said they would meet back here around 9 tonight.
Haven and Garrett came up to Adam and pulled him aside. They didn’t want to worry Kenzie on this matter.
“Adam, Garrett and I are going to go and see if we can locate some information on Tammy. We are going to see if we can find her where about. It is best if very few people know who is going and we will keep in touch every two days. So that way if you don’t hear from us after that you know something is wrong.” Haven said to Adam with Garrett by her side.
“I understand what you are doing. I want you guys to stay safe and if you run into any trouble call me and I will have someone there as fast as I can. But if I don’t hear from you in two days’ time I will come looking for you. Plus, you need to call me each time you reach a different location, so I can know where to begin if something does go wrong.” Adam stated to both
They shook their head and they parted ways. Adam had a feeling that they were leaving tonight. Which would be smart, but Kenzie would be worried about her friends. He didn’t know how he was going to keep this from her, but for now he would.
Adam went in search for Kenzie, he needed to know how she was feeling. He found her in her office just staring at the writings on the wall. She found a message with in a message and she didn’t like what she was seeing.
“Adam there is a message inside the message that my Aunt as left here. Look at how some letters are different then the others. I think she is trying to tell me something else. I just haven’t figured out what it is just yet.” Kenzie was saying in a soft voice
He was looking at what Kenzie just told him when he understood what she was talking about. He would have to talk with Scott and Dusty about this and see what they another message could say. He didn’t understand how they miss this and wondered if they could have missed other clues as well. He didn’t like feeling that he may have failed in some way. But he is determining not to let it happen again.
“Adam don’t worry, and you didn’t fail me in any way. I can see what you are thinking written all over your face. We will get through this together. We all must stand united in this or we all fail.” Kenzie said as she walked up beside him.
“Kenzie, I know what you are saying is true, but I can’t help feel that I have failed to do my job as your mate. I should have seen messages inside messages I should have made sure every place you have been was safe. I didn’t do that, like I should have.” Adam was saying to her without looking at her.
They both walked over to the table where some of their friends was sitting to talk about what Kenzie had found. They knew they would have to go back over it again when everyone came back. For now, it was good to just have a few know what is going on to help her through this moment.
