I opened my eyes to very familiar ceilings and the warm sun on my face. It was a new day and all I could remember from the night before was the fight between Karen and Lucas.
Did he get home okay? Wait, I'm supposed to be mad at him for what he did.
He disrespected me. He could do it again later in bed but I wasn't going to tell him that until he apologized, of course.
The door opened and I turned to it.
"Good thing you're up," Nanny May walked in and shut the door.
My ringtone blasted in the air and I cringed at the annoying sound. It felt like I had been hearing that for a while now.
"He has been calling non-stop."
