IRENE "Karin! No running in the hall. Carl, drop the toys," he wouldn't let go of the new toys all day. "No!" He grinned, waiting for me to snatch it with a daring look in his eyes. "It's time for bed, you need to sleep." I arranged their pillows as Karin walked into the room in her pyjamas. "Come here, I'll tuck you in." She pretended not to hear me, standing close to the door while Carl climbed into bed with his new toy as if thrusting Karson's presence in my face once more. I still remembered how he kissed my hand tenderly and said his goodbyes. It was a whole different feeling and I was still reeling from it.
