My daily visits to Irene's house were enough for me. I wasn't going to be greedy and ask for more even though I desperately wanted the kids to call me 'dad' someday and wanted Irene to admit the truth but, I'd settle with this for now.
It was peaceful these days and I'd do anything to protect that peace and keep trouble far from us. I figured if I was on my best behaviour, things would just continue to fall into place.
Maybe someday we could all live together here in the pack and I'd have my kids running around my study-
I was pulled out of my wishful thoughts by a knock on the door, "Come in." it had better not be any more work or complaints, I was already counting the minutes that I had left to call it a day and do my usual rounds to my kids and Irene.
