I could still picture Irene's face on the little ones. They had her eyes and smile. Everything pointed to her as their mother but I still found it hard to believe.
I was aware that these days, she-wolves could have pups with anyone, it didn't have to be their mate but what was new to me was that wolfless she-wolves could have kids too.
Being wolfless was already useless enough in a werewolf society, everyone was well aware of that. The wolfless wolves were always avoided and stigmatised in the Pack. Irene got lucky when she bagged an Alpha like myself and also because she was taken in by my mother.
The kids said they were four years old. Irene disappeared five years ago, it's only logical that if they are her kids then they are mine as well.
