IRENE'S POV
"Oh Goddess!" Nanny May had her hand over her mouth when we stepped into the house. Tears filled her eyes so suddenly as she ran to the kids and hugged them. "I'm so sorry," she apologised over and over again and I could only imagine the scare she went through last night.
" It's okay, May. They are fine," I assured her but she couldn't stop crying as she touched their faces to make sure they were fine.
It took a lot of convincing that no harm came to them before she could finally calm down and take her leave.
" You see that?" I placed my hands on my waist as I scolded Carl and Karin. "Don't ever repeat what you did ever again. You made a lot of people worry about you."
They lowered their heads as if in remorse and I would've believed them if I didn't know the kind of kids
