It was hard to decipher between who was who among the sea of body parts. We worked in silence to clear the field of the dead. It would be nearly impossible to give all of these souls a proper send-off, so it was decided to burn the bodies in the center of the yard. All, except Elder Jackson, were placed on the pyre before it was set ablaze. A separate pyre was built for the Elder and placed in the lake. No words were spoken, just the silent tears of the pack as the pyre was engulfed in flames. Elder Evelyn was beside herself with grief, unable to stand or speak. Of the 153 pack members that were left, 36 remain. Tobias had successfully destroyed the Sullivan legacy.
