The pain that rippled through me was excruciating. I had gotten up to go to the bathroom for the umpteenth time, when a sharp pain tore through my abdomen, bringing me to my knees. I cried out in pain. I took some calming breaths and tried to stand on my feet when the pain shot through me once more.
“It’s time, Addy.” Athena said in a tired voice. The realization of what was happening sent panic and fear racing through me.
“No… no… no… it’s too early. They aren’t ready.” I said hysterically to my wolf.
