Kevin’s P.O.V. Dr. Walsh: “We just received your application. Thank you for applying to volunteer as a representative from Oregon for our 4-week Sepsis study.” Kevin: “Wait, what?!” Dr. Walsh: “This is Dr. Kevin Walker from Jacksonville, Oregon, right? I didn’t call the wrong person?” Kevin: “Yes, that’s me. But, there must be some sort of mistake. I didn’t apply for any study.” Dr. Walsh: “Well, I don’t know what to say. I have your application here in my hand and it’s authorized with your signature.” Kevin: “That’s odd.” Dr. Walsh: “Be that what it may, I was about to brief you on some information but seeing that you aren’t aware of this application, you should probably check your calendar or talk to your supervisor.” Kevin: “I’ll do just that, Dr. Walsh.
