The twist

Robert introduced kate to our parents as his girlfriend. This is so unexpected for me. That's so shocking to consider.

I noticed something preposterous in his eyes. I hated this, I know that he knows, that I love him. I even know that he loves me.

What's going on here, tears gonna burst out of my eyes soon, I find myself an excuse and left his home.

Robert and I are friends from a very young age, we are neighbours, our parents are besties since their college days, that's how we happen to be a part of each other's life.

I went into my bedroom, I cried as if clouds gonna fall on the earth and everything gonna shatter within minutes, it lasted for hours, then I realised, there's no use in crying for him, I thought if he had loved me, he might have not done this.

So still one more year of my studies left, now I'm on holiday, within two days, I should go to the university, which is in the other state.

I decided not to talk to him like normal, I decided to focus on my studies rather than on him. Cause at least I deserve the self-respect.
