Bittersweet Revenge

Chapter 2

The royal garden

"So this is what you wanted to do?" Lidel asked

" no, I want to show you something" Ariana explained

"Well.... What?" Lidel asked out of curiousity

Ariana smirked and started running towards a dark corner.

"Wait Princess Ariana,I'm an old man so how am I supposed to catch up with you" Lidel screamed while running as fast as he could .

They reached a dead end and it was very dark although it was only the evening it seemed like Ariana's bedtime.

"What seemed doing at a dead end" Lidel questioned

" this isn't a dead end! " Ariana said while doing some kind of tap dance

She knocked her hand in the dead end wall five times and kicked it once and the wall started moving

The wall started moving horizontally and parted, it revealed a secret room. It was obvious that Princess Ariana had been there before because it was so near and had a soft ground, there was pillows everywhere and pink see through curtains hanging from above, the place was covered in Fairy lights and a small table with fairy tale books on it . It was a beautiful sight and Lidel started looking around....

Suddenly, a child who looked about five wearing a wider pan on his head and a cardboard sword, jumped out of nowhere and screamed:

"ARGHHH, THE ENEMY HAS ARRIVED ,KILL HIM!"

Suddenly, more children came charging at Lidel with their cardboard swords until.....

"Stop!" Ariana screamed

All the children froze in their spots and one of them fell over, it was a girl , Lidel had learnt that the girl's name was Bella when Ariana screamed her name in worry. Her knee started throbbing alarmingly. Ariana rushed over to her and picked her up, she then say her on a chair and pulled out a first aid kit out of nowhere, although the girl was in pain she still smiled , it seemed as the children was close with Ariana. While Ariana was treating the poor girl the kids looked curiously as if they were learning something new.

After a few minutes the girl's knee stopped throbbing, Ariana then wrapped the girl's knee in a bandage and tied a bow. After giving the girl a warm smile and helped her out of the chair she turned and her expression changed. Her face went red and started telling the children off

"Hey! If someone is next to me and I allowed them in THEN DON'T COME CHARGING AT THEM, BELLA GOT HURT BECAUSE OF YOU LOT" Ariana scolded.

A child whose name was Derek spoke up

"Sowwy, it's just that you never bring guests and we just kind of got scared"

Ariana gave a forgiving smile and started speaking

"Today I can't stay for much time because I have to run some errands."

The children's smile dropped and they started feeling drowsy.

Ariana brought some toys and food from their way from the castle, and now she got them from behind her and placed them on a chair.

"I brought some toys so you guys can play with each other and some snacks in case you get hungry" Ariana said as if it was her way of apologising.

"We already ate and we have enough toys" one boy exclaimed

Ariana just laughed it off and waived goodbye.

Back at the palace

Ariana was in her room tidying stuff up and Lidel was waiting her unpatiently.

"Soo, do you need something?" Ariana asked

" Well I have a few questions but I'll only ask one" Lidel answered

"Okayyy?" Ariana said

"So first, WHERE ON EARTH DID YOU GET THOSE CHILDREN" Lidel asked curiously

" remember the trip we went in canals day to Ankatha, I found them on the secret rd begging for food so I decided to take them with me" Ariana replied calmly

"Okay thank you for the information I have to go back to your brother's room to treat his wound" Lidel quickly said

"Go on, Adrian probably was waiting a long time,besides I need to study anyway"Ariana said

After Lidel had left the room Ariana locked the door and opened a cage . Inside the cage were scarlet red butterflies , Ariana slit her hand and blood started pouring out, she then fed them to the butterflies

For some reason Princess Ariana smirked.

" Gosh, my parents are so naive especially my mother, once I become Queen, I will named Queen Ariana Dé Machellote Luave and they would be sent prison for all their reason, Oh mother don't think your beauty will last if my butterflies stay" she giggled while wiping the blood off her hand.

"Its time to study I guess " She said.
