Chapter 9 Trigger Warring ***r**e Scene

1378 Words
Thomas It was the night before her wedding when I saw her crawl out a small window near the back end of the house. She stopped by the trash bins and picked up a backpack and two duffle bags. Then took off into the woods, so much for our thought-out plan. She was changing things with every step. Then she paused and looked right at me. But she wasn’t scared she was studying me. Then the sirens started up. Before I could do anything she was off into a dead run heading straight for the town and bus stop. Looking back I could see three units with their lights headed straight for Fernand’s house. The bastard was going to give her up without a fight. I knew where she was headed but he didn’t. With that, I took off at a run to where the pack was. “Thomas what’s going on?!” my father linked “She’s running dad. She had her own plan. But if we don’t help her she’ll be found before the end of the night.” “She’s brave, son.” “I know dad. But I need Molly and Erica to head to the bus station. Have them get tickets going in different directions. So it looks like more than one female is traveling alone tonight. I have a feeling I know where she’s going.” “Be safe son” “I will dad, I need you to keep an eye on them and call the Silver Moon Pack she’s headed into their territory.” I didn’t wait for a response from him. As I ran I grabbed a pack that I knew I was going to need. It had a few sets of clothes, a cell, money, and an emergency kit. Once I hit the outskirts of town I changed into human form and got dressed with enough time to get a ticket to the next bus that was leaving. Loading onto the bus she was three-seat down and next to an emergency exit. For all her beauty she was smart as well. This was going to be a long trip. I chose an empty seat two rows back from her. An hour into our trip she felt safe enough to put her duffle bags in the storage boxes above her head. When she lifted them I got a glimpse of the slow healing bruises on her arms and face. It made me so mad and Lucian left out a low growl in our head. My mate had been put through h*ll most of her life from what Information I had gathered and now I would make sure she had the life she deserved moving forward. Just then my call went off. “Hey, Thomas it’s John your dad wanted to let you know the path is clear with the Pack.” “Good that is one less thing to worry about. What was going on at Fernand’s house?” “ Looks like the bastard and his son called the cops when he found her missing and said that someone had taken her. But with the death of his last wife, they are hitting roadblocks with the officers. So it looks like you guys have time before they do any missing person report. We have eyes on the good PI’s in the state in case he decides to go around them.” “Thank you, guys. Poor thing is scared and just now put away her duffle bags. She was ready to jump out the window if she had to. Seeing her all bruised up has me so mad I want to go back and rip them apart.” “Their day is coming. Just try to get her trust you have work to do after everything she has been through. Keep in touch if you need us.” Three bus changes later we arrived at the college, she got her backpack and duffles and walked to a local coffee shop. There she got a map and a coffee. Then after speaking with the server she got an address and took a local bus to that area. She was entering a mobile home park that was a witch coven by the mark in the window. No way to enter that without knowing what I was getting into. Lucian wanted to grab her and take her somewhere safe but she was scared and if anything they could keep her safe. We knew where she was and that she was safe. That was all that mattered for right now. No matter the fact that we were alpha we had no power to do anything. Calling my father he answered on the third ring. “Hey, son are you okay?” “ Ya I’m fine but hit a snag right now have you heard of the Aurora Coven. “ “They are a powerful coven that works with the Silver Moon Pack why?” “While Marissa has found her way into a coven in a mobile home park, I need to know how to talk to them. “ “No need wolf boy we know you’re here” came the voice of a female on the walkway. She was tall with a forest green cloak. All her other features were hidden. “Ummm...never mind dad looks like they already know I’m here,” I said as I hung up the phone. “Follow me,” she said, bypassing me to the first home on the lot. After entering the home there were others sitting around what I can assume was the living room. “Looks like we finally get the meet the alpha of the Blood Moon pack. “ said an elder “we have been waiting for you” “Me?” I said stupidly This caused a laugh from the elder “boy you have no clue do you. The Moon Goddess has had you and your mate in the books for centuries. Do you even know what your mate is?” “She is a human….????” I said With that, the elder called a book to her “ she is a healer of the oldest kind. One that the Goddess herself dropped to the earth as a star to heal animals of all kinds. She is rare and the last healer on earth was killed off thousands of years ago. It is up to her and you to heal the mystical and bring us back before it's too late." "Before what's too late?" "For the grand war to come. You have to help her unlock her past to heal her hurt for her powers to come to pass Thomas. You are welcome here with us just as she is." As she said the covan mark appeared on my wrist. "She needs you to go home to make sure she is truly safe." "I can't leave her again." I choked out. "She needs time to heal and we can help her with that. There are wounds you can't help with right now" the elder stated. And then my sight was taken and replaced with the view of her being trapped by the man she was promised to. She had been putting away clothes when he closed the door to the room. He was heavier than her pinning her against the dresser and taking her from behind. She was trying to get away biting and hitting but that only made him go harder against her. She was begging him to stop. Then when she gave up fighting he came with a disgusting satisfied grunt. He pulled away and whispered "that's a good kitten. Give up and give in, you're mine." Seeing this made my blood run cold and rage hit me so hard my breath was stuck. Then I could hear the elder. "Right now there is nothing you can do to help her. Go home, let her learn to live and trust." When I agreed to go home was when my sight returned.
