The shift back to human was painful. Nothing close to what my first shift was, nor the derision and hate I was getting from my people, my pack… But especially my family.

My body protested as my mind was a mass of confusion, and I was unable to focus. I vaguely heard the door open and close. When I came to, I noticed the clothes and blanket one of the Omegas had set inside for me.
I numbly shuffled to my father’s office, following the girl who was leading the way confidently, as if she were the one who came this way almost every day since she was born, instead of me.
