Layla arrived almost immediately, her presence a mix of respect and tension. "Long live the alpha," she greeted me with a respectful nod. "Thank you, Layla," I replied, acknowledging her loyalty. But my patience was wearing thin, and I needed answers.
"What exactly is going on?" I asked her, my voice tinged with urgency. The affairs of the kingdom weighed heavily on my shoulders, and I couldn't afford to be kept in the dark any longer.
